It will test your endurance, but is completely worth it if you are... read more 100% committed to working and learning. Otherwise, it will just be a waste of your time as well as Mrs. Ortega's. She is passionate about her subjects and helping her students learn and get ahead in the world of medical coding as long as you are too. Listen to everything she says and be sure to complete ALL of the pre-work BEFORE the class, as without it, you will be lost. When I discovered this course, I was blown away by what I was hearing and after having looked into other coding programs that are so expensive, I wanted to go and learn from Mrs. Ortega. I'm glad that I did. It's been hard work, but very much worth it. Work hard, listen, learn, & you won't regret it. But again, if you aren't willing to put in the work, then don't waste your money as you won't get out of taking classes from Medical Coding Academy everything that you could and should.

However, I will do my upmost to help you to understand the... read more impact that Mrs. Ortega has made on my life, and my classmates lives during my CPC course this weekend. I have just arrived back home from my trip to Charleston, SC and even though it is 1am, I could not go to sleep until I wrote this review in an effort to URGE anyone interested to sign up for one of her classes and do it ASAP! Like many of you, I came across her YouTube videos while searching for info about Medical Coding. Little did I know about how that would later turn out to be one of the best decisions I have ever made! I watched one video and thought "Hmmm, she seems nice, I think I'll watch another one". With each passing video, I became more and more convinced that "Wow, its hard to accept the fact that there are actually people like her in this world that are THAT genuine, who care THAT much about helping others, who tirelessly put their heart and soul into educating others so that they are afforded an opportunity to change their life! Trust me when I say, BELIEVE IT! Now, you may be thinking that this sounds a little overkill with the nicey nice stuff. Well, all I can say is that if you take a leap of faith and give yourself the gift of attending one of her classes you will leave there wanting to thank anyone who had any part of convincing you to JUST JUMP FOR GOODNESS SAKE! Don't be fooled by other organizations who lead you to believe that you can't learn what it takes to be successful at passing your board exam AND landing your dream job with a 3 day education! Mrs. Ortega has proven this over and over and over again. Keep in mind that for every day you hesitate because you're skeptical, thats another day you've missed to land your dream job as an EXTREMELY WELL PAID and respected medical coder! Her conviction to teaching and changing lives is 2nd to none! She teaches you INVALUABLE tips for passing the exam and interviewing for the job! She also painstakinly came up with a strategy for not only test taking, but more importantly, helping to familiarize yourself with all of your books and how to use them to properly code. Her tabbing system is something that will blow your mind! Please don't let the little voice in your head convince you that this is too good to be true! It is absolutely NOT A SCAM! It's a GRAND SLAM! I will advocate for this company and Mrs. Ortega in an effort to pay it forward for as long as it takes to convince the doubters out there to trust her and her ability. What you see on her videos is what you get! She is extremely down to earth and very approachable and eager to help you with any questions or issues you may have. She is a POWERHOUSE of a woman in a vey small package but dont mistake that for weakness. She has put YEARS into developing this very unique learning structure in which she is, with good reason, extremely proud of. She expects her students to listen, learm, and apply everything she teaches. You need to come to class prepared to learn and follow all her instructions to a T! It is not and easy course but she doesnt have unsuccessful students. She simply won't allow it! If you put forth the effort and feel as though you are just not quite clear, there is no end to the lengths she will go to in order insure your success. If this is something you really want, be assured she wants it for you even more! I feel as though wriiting this review is the VERY LEAST that I can do to repay her for giving me the skills to change my life for the better! All I can leave you with is this...if you are working at a job that doesn't pay your nealy enough and you're struggling to make ends meet...do yourself the biggest favor and pick up the phone right now and register for the earliest class you can attend. Just do it! For those of you who heed my advice and make it to her class, YOU'RE WELCOME!

She kept the class moving along and took time to explain each of the different concepts clearly. She gave the students one-on-one time and answered our questions promptly. The assistants were also very helpful and helped me keep up on my projects. I loved the course and the way that Mrs. Ortega taught us all. I am looking forward to getting to obtain a medical coding outpatient job for while I am in college. This course was definitely worth the time and money necessary!!
