She is the most loving and caring person I have ever known. She has come such a long way and has done it all just to help others. I consider her my mentor. She is just absolutely an amazing person. She is not in this industry for money or even for herself, she is doing what she is doing because she loves to help others and that is the most important thing to think about when looking for a school; if they truly care about their students. And Ms. Ortega and Medical Coding Academy cares about each and every one of their students. Not only does she want to teach you but she wants to make sure you pass your exam on the first try when finished with her courses and get into a wonderful and growing career and succeed. She is the best with her lessons and getting the information across to understand and remember. I highly recommend Medical theCoding Academy over any other billing and coding school. They do in person classes and online classes and Ms. Ortega is the best when it comes to teaching people! Even if you have doubts about whether choosing Medical Coding Academy or not they always have someone available to talk to to answer any questions.   • Wow! I passed my CPC exam! Mrs. Ortega and Medical Coding Academy (MCA) took 3 days to teach the CPC coding course techniques that I’ve been studying for... read more years. I did great with my coding online studies through AAPC, but when it came time for testing, I missed it twice. I thank GOD for putting people in my life that has helped me achieve my goal, to be a CPC. Thank you to my husband and family for helping and encouraging me. Thank you to three ladies who are friends/coworkers that also encouraged me and lead me to MCA. Thank You Mrs. Ortega for showing me that I can do this and for staying with your class throughout the long hours. It was so worth it! Don’t hesitate - go for it! You won’t regret it! Take this course and be on your way to a rewarding career! The cost was minimal compared to what I spent for my previous studies.

  • This class and Mrs. Ortega are amazing. Really the class is what it is because your instructor Mrs. Ortega works so hard to make sure you are prepared to sit... read more for the exam. Go in knowing that this class is hard work, really hard work, but it is also satisfying, especially when the things that confused you so much on day 1 start to make sense and by day 3 you're practically speaking another language. Don't be scared off by the fact that it is going to be a lot of work because for everything that you are doing, your instructor is doing more. When you go to break Mrs. Ortega stays behind to answer questions. She is determined to make sure that everyone in the class succeeds and she believes in you from day 1, even if you don't! One of the most important things that Mrs. Ortega will teach you is how to get out of your own way and believe in the excellent system that she teaches; and it is worth every penny, every hour you sit in the classroom, every minute of sleep you loose working on the pre-work and homework. I can tell you with absolute confidence and without reservation it is worth it. I took the exam yesterday and I cannot fully explain the sense of joy and relief you feel when you go to a code and there is a notation or highlight that helps guide you to the answer. You will be thanking the Lord that you found this class and Mrs. Ortega! Really there are only 2 reasons not to take this class: 1: You enjoy wasting time and money and 2: you don't really want to pass the exam. So unless you enjoy paying to sit in a room with strangers and be confused for 5 hours TAKE THIS CLASS!

I... read more left other coding Facebook groups so I wouldn't get confused. I have looked into coding for a couple years now. I searched "coding bootcamp" and Ms. Ortega came up. I was skeptical at first, thinking there is no way. But a part of me was saying do it. Maybe it was my higher power telling me to finally jump and commit. I truly believed she would show me the way. She did! If you have question whether you should take this class or not, please I hope my review will make you jump! I went to the bootcamp in ATL. I won't lie I didn't sleep for 3 days. We were in class for 11 hours and had hours of homework, but it was beyond worth it. She keeps you awake and focused the entire time. Thank you, Ms. Ortega.
