Mrs Ortega's teaching system is so on point it seems like she's pouring the information into your brain. you just need to pay attention and take notes. She really feels like your success is her success. Remember to complete your prework.

And her response was "I don't think, I KNOW you will pass!" She sold me right then and there! I took the class and then took my exam the following weekend, and just received my PASSING score this morning! I cannot thank Mrs. Ortega enough for the time and energy she put into the course making sure I was prepared for the exam! I took Mrs Ortega course and learned so much within those 3 days and cannot wait to take my exam in June. This is no gimmick! It's real! I am signing my daughter up for this course as well.   • I originally was VERY hesitant to sign up for any online course when you hear about all the scams out there. I signed up for a course at a... read more local school that would have taken 9 months to complete to then be prepared to take the CPC. I never researched any online courses out of fear. I then was really feeling like I was wasting time waiting for my classes to begin and started researching more. I found Medical Coding Academy and the rest is history! I requested a refund back from the school I enrolled in right away. Belen was so amazing to help me navigate signing up and answering all of my skeptical questions. I am proud to say that 3.5 weeks after starting my online courses I passed my CPC exam with an 83%! Listen, nothing worthwhile is easy. The program is not designed to rush through it etc. I was only able to finish so much coursework so fast because I studied full time at least 8 hours a day. I am currently out of work and was able to dedicate my every moment into this. Mrs. Ortega tells you exactly what you need to do. Follow her instructions. Another tip is to pause the video and work out the case prior to her going through it. Then see if you got the correct answer. This took exponentially longer but sure paid off in the long run. It is challenging but she explains it so well and in detail. It will feel overwhelming in the beginning but it all comes full circle just keep pushing. I also recorded myself reading my notes as well as flash cards. I would go walking and have them playing to help me study on the go. You will have to work but she gives you every tool you need. If you want to pass your test and understand guidelines etc then take this course. I am excited for my future and to see where this takes me! Thank you Mrs. Ortega for developing a curriculum that kept my attention and was methodical. Thank you Belen for standing by to help me with any questions or support I needed! PS I am still waiting for my prior school to issue a refund check! I already finished my course and passed my test! How amazing is that!? You get out of it what you put in so remember that!

Mrs. Ortega truly has a gift, the way she teaches is one of a kind. She is the best teacher I have ever had. She is tough and she doesn't accept excuses. Her strategies and well thought out class gets you WELL prepared to pass the CPC on the first try. My exam was last Saturday and I passed the CPC exam with flying colors. Mrs. Ortega even provides support after the class, if you need her all you have to do is text her. Let me tell you! The boot camp was intense the work before class that has to be done is serious, then you have homework while in class. It took 3-4 hours each night. I was exhausted, but it was well worth it because I passed on my first try. I had a coworker take a local community college course and she failed the CPC exam. Mrs. Ortega gives you a fail proof plan, there is no way you will not pass if you do EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING she tells you. If you are serious about wanting to enter the medical coding field, then this is the course for you! Thank you so much for sharing your gift Mrs. Ortega. I couldn't have done it without you!!!!

I feel it is an understatement to say that Mrs. Ortega is an AMAZING teacher and a BLESSING to the world!!! Her honesty, passion, heart, soul, drive, and SKILL are all so POWERFUL from the very MOMENT you're in her presence, and lasts for the entirety of the course and WELL BEYOND! Mrs. Ortega is a HIGHLY motivational FIRECRACKER, and will ALWAYS push you to do your best and remember the UNLIMITED potential for success YOU already possess inside!! YOU can accomplish more than you ever imagined, and with NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE required!!! If by this point in my review you're STILL having doubts on whether you should attend, whether or not you "REALLY can do this," then this is my advice to YOU: Follow ALL of Mrs. Ortega's instructions from the MOMENT you step into class. DON'T ask why, DON'T complain, DON'T stomp your feet, DON'T clench your fists tight and rage -- NOT even in your HEAD! I know this may be "easier said than done" for some people, but I PROMISE you, if you just do EVERYTHING she says, you are GUARANTEED to pass the AAPC exam ON YOUR FIRST TRY! YOU WILL! It's just GUARANTEED! Also, I would like to respectfully ask you to grab the nearest Mr. Clean Magic Eraser RIGHT NOW and ERASE the word "CAN'T" from your vocabulary ENTIRELY!!! By telling yourself that something is "IMPOSSIBLE," you're only hurting YOURSELF!!! Do NOT limit yourself like this!!!! If you go into this class with the words "I CAN DO ANYTHING" in BIG bright multi-colored neon lights on a BILLBOARD inside your brain, you WILL make things happen that you NEVER THOUGHT YOU COULD MAKE HAPPEN! I could go ON AND ON (and ON) about how much of an absolute BENEFIT TO YOUR LIFE it would be to JUST give Medical Coding Academy a CHANCE, but you would be reading FOR DAYS! Just TRUST ME ON THIS: DO IT!!!! Mrs. Ortega and the rest of the OUTSTANDING Medical Coding Academy staff will NOT let you down.

I have taken other... read more medical coding online classes that left me feeling totally unprepared to take the exam. After this three day class I feel very confident in my ability to do well on the exam. Mrs. Ortega has thought of everything! She gives us customized homework/practice to do until we take the exam, after the exam and the night before starting our first job to keep us fresh. Mrs. Ortega even gives guidance for the interview and I highly recommend purchasing her USB stick with resume templates letters of interest etc. This class was definitely worth every single penny it cost and I would recommend it to everyone wishing to become a medical coder. Don’t waste your time and money anywhere else.
