I'm pleased to say that I'm no longer skeptical, and I feel very well prepared to take the certification exam. I highly enjoyed the course, and the teacher. I will be recommending Medical Coding Academy to anyone, and everyone, that I come into contact with who has an interest in obtaining a coding certification.

Well, let me tell you... the course is a real Boot Camp!! It's very intense and you really have to work hard, sleep very little and pay attention to everything Ms. Ortega says... in the end, you'll feel tired, but it will all be worth it!! I took my test last Saturday and today I got the awesome news that I passed the test on my first try with a score of 87%!!! I'm sure that without Ms. Ortega's teachings, I would've gotten lost in all the confusing terminology, double and triple guessing myself after each answer and would've never finished the test!! We all know some cases can be extremely confusing, but with Ms. Ortega's strategies, you'll be able to abstract the most important information and answer fast and accurately in order to "keep it going" and finish the test with enough correct answers to pass on your first try!! I had no previous coding experience and I just did!! Thank you, Ms. Ortega!! I sure hope to come back for more of your teachings to obtain more certifications!

She broke everything down and made sure you were prepared. I've tried college Coding courses, AAPC's online class, and I still failed the board exam each time (2x). Needless to say, I felt like I was never going to get my certification. But after completing the 3-day course, my confidence was sky-high. I sat in for my CPC in February 2016, and not only did I complete the exam in under the given 5 hours and 40 minutes, I PASSED!! Words can't describe how grateful I am to have met Mrs. Ortega! :)

If you have the money to take several courses all at once, I highly recommend doing so . I tested out all three of my exams pretty much within the same month and passed all three in the 1st try. Now I am CPC, COC, & CPMA board certified and it is all thanks to Ms. Ortega and her wonderful school, The Medical Coding Academy!
