I don't know where to began with giving this review, because there are so many GOOD things to say about this program in the short time I have known about... read more it. I was informed about this program in Jan of 2020 and it has been nothing short of a wonderful experience! From the staff, Mrs. Ortega and the knowledge that she provides for preparing you for your Coding Certification. I was given so much information that I needed from the beginning to the end, and although I have not taken my exam yet which is scheduled for both 6/18 & 6/19 due to covid-19 I feel more than ready to take the test!!! I will forever be Thankful for Mrs. Ortega & her wonderful staff for providing such a full proof program! I am looking forward to continuing my education with her & getting more certifications via her knowledge & programs! THANK YOU SO MUCH! if you are wondering if this is a good program..trust me it really is!!! but don't just take my word for it, judge for yourself and watch that you will feel the same way! I will come back to report how I did on my exam!!

I met Ms. Ortega about 10 years ago when she was a teacher at a technical school i was going to. Even though she was going through her own career... read more struggles at that time she put her students before herself and helped guide them in the right direction for their careers. She is the most loving and caring person I have ever known. She has come such a long way and has done it all just to help others. I consider her my mentor. She is just absolutely an amazing person. She is not in this industry for money or even for herself, she is doing what she is doing because she loves to help others and that is the most important thing to think about when looking for a school; if they truly care about their students. And Ms. Ortega and Medical Coding Academy cares about each and every one of their students. Not only does she want to teach you but she wants to make sure you pass your exam on the first try when finished with her courses and get into a wonderful and growing career and succeed. She is the best with her lessons and getting the information across to understand and remember. I highly recommend Medical theCoding Academy over any other billing and coding school. They do in person classes and online classes and Ms. Ortega is the best when it comes to teaching people! Even if you have doubts about whether choosing Medical Coding Academy or not they always have someone available to talk to to answer any questions. Please don't pass up the opportunity to learn from Ms. Ortega. I promise you that you will not regret it and will have such a great future in this career field if you learn from her! I am so grateful for the Medical Coding Academy and Mrs. Ortega. I actually have a bachelor's degree and unable to get job for 18 months due to not passing... read more RN licensing exam. All my loans are going into repayment and I have a 2 year old and a baby almost here. My husband and family have sacrificed so much the passed 7 years for my education and there has been no follow through of a job. I miss working but kept trying my best. I went through a lot of depression and even almost ended up breaking my family apart during the time I kept trying to pass the Nclex. I was out of hope my 5th time I took the test and found out I failed cause I knew I wouldn't be able to get a nursing job right after having baby and help provide for my family. That night I couldn't sleep and I researched medical coding and thankfully found that there are scams online and even the schools out there don't teach for passing the exam. Mrs. Ortega is the best affordable doable option. She breaks down everything very easily to me who had no idea what medical coding is. I am confident that I will be able to pass the CPC exam and get started paying for my loans. I encourage any mom out there that they can do this and help make decent money for the family. For me, this opportunity was a solution for my debt and making ends meet for a growing family. I assure you this is not a scam. Mrs. Ortega is the real deal and does this for people who need it. I really believe coding is a good fit for for me so even if I get RN license down road, I will now consider nurse coding! Her colorful underlining in the videos helped me locate... read more the key points to assign a medical code without reading the whole story. She alerted the student when it was necessary to read the whole medical case documentation. With the Evaluation and Management section I was quite impressed on how she labeled the CPT manual in order to figure out the leveling with confidence.
