I have been out of the workforce for 13 years raising my children and I was very nervous about taking on a brand new career without any prior knowledge or experience, but Mrs. Ortega's stellar reputation and all of the 5 star reviews gave me the confidence to go for it. And I am so glad I did! The online course is amazing! It is organized and easy to follow with clear instructions every step of the way. I loved doing the online course because I could go through each section as many times as I needed to get a strong understanding of the material. The MCA team was a huge resource as they were there to answer any questions along the way. And even though Mrs. Ortega was not physically there with me, I could feel her genuine desire for me to succeed. I prayed to God one day that I would find something that... read more sparked my interest in regards to a career. The next day I stumbled upon mrs. Ortega's YouTube videos. I once attended Penn Foster and received a career diploma in medical billing and coding, but you see, that got me nowhere. That diploma is sitting in my closet collecting dust because it holds no value. I learned through Mrs. Ortega's YouTube videos that a CPC was the way I should have started. Mrs. Ortega seemed so confident in her videos, that she could help me pass the exam in just 3 days. I decided her confidence was enough to make me go for it. Here I am, at the end of my day 3. There is so much to say. Day one was the hardest. I had no idea what I was doing. I had so many questions but it's okay because day 2 got better. Everything made a little more sense. And then day 3, the last day, everything just clicked. I had so much confidence in Mrs. Ortega that I scheduled my CPC exam for the very next day. I take my CPC exam tomorrow and I could not be any more confident than I am right now. To be honest, I have never felt this confident in anything, that I have ever done, in my life. It is a great feeling and I owe that all to Mrs Ortega and the great people at Medical Coding Academy. Mrs. Ortega is absolutely amazing. She never left the room, not once. She was there for anyone that needed help even during breaks. That says so much to me. These Classes were from 8am to 7pm. That's a long, long time not to leave a room. Mrs. Ortega is an angel in disguise. If you are on the fence about MCA.... just do it. You will never have this kind of confidence going into a board exam with out their help. It is 100%worth it.

Like so many I prepared, took plenty of certified practice exams and studied my little heart out before walking in and taking this brutal exam just to fail it and be completely devastated. I had absolutely no plans to try again until 2 month later when a new coworker advised me about an amazing course he took a while back taught by the amazing Mrs. Ortega. Although having initial doubts I went ahead and registered and let me tell you, it is the BEST move I've made in regards to my professional future yet! She is very knowledgeable in every aspect of medical coding and makes sure all of her students clearly understand what's being taught. I am eagerly looking forward to my second go around at the exam and crushing it� Mrs. Ortega genuinely cares for everyone of her students, I've never encountered anyone with her passion to help people.
