I think the best part of my experience is her sincerity, how much she cares, and her passion for teaching her students, and how genuinely happy she is to know her students pass the CPC board exam!!! Admittedly, I had doubts about my... read more abilities to learn everything I needed to pass my board exam within only a 3 day weekend course, along with absolutely zero experience in medical coding and billing (not to mention never laying eyes on a single code prior to class). I am the type of person that likes to explore all my options and see everything out as they are. I am telling you now, DO NOT GO THE LONG WAY AROUND THE MOUNTAIN!!! Sign up for her course, it is only for your own good! Absolutely everything that is pertinent to passing the board exam is covered within your 3 days with Mrs. Ortega. Do not waste your ENERGY, MONEY, or TIME with any other program, whether it is a vocational school or online program. You will only be hurting yourself in the end. You will not gain the essential and practical knowledge needed to pass your exam, become certified, and land a job. Mrs. Ortega is absolutely your best coach, and breaks everything down until she makes you completely understand, before moving on. Both her and her staff have an incredible response time, and work around the clock to take care of their students. I came to... read more class Friday having never coded before in my life. Now I feel completely prepared to take the board exam. So if you decide to try this out (and if your in a position like me, you have no reason not to) don’t be scared to take a chance. You have a real opportunity to succeed in this career field. Full disclosure, if you don’t complete the pre work and homework, this board exam will be very hard. It’s literally a coding boot camp up here in Dallas. So be prepared to tear your hair out and and thank Mrs. Ortega for it in the end. A few headaches and short term pain will be worth it for a new career and a long term happiness
