I'll update this review after I pass the exam and again when I get my job. So be on the lookout. I plann to give a full review on my whole experience. **UPDATE** 12/18/17 I PASSED MY EXAM! With a score of 90%! How awsome is that? I havr absolutely NO medical training or experience. I'm your average factory worker. If I can attend this course and pass with flying colors on the first try, anyone can. If you come with an open heart and mind you can take a major step in the direction of a new career. Not to mention that I've places a few applications as soon as I received my scores. And I've already have a call back. As soon as I land a job I'll update this review again. Stay tuned! **UPDATE** 1/16/18 I HAVE A JOB! I probably would jave started sooner but due to the holidays my hiring process was delayed. I had an interview on 12/14 I think. I went great. I said EVERYTHING Mrs. Ortega told us in class. If not for certain staff being out on long vacations I'm sertan I would have started sooner. But my 1st official dat of work was today. And let me tell you, I was better prepared that I knew. I couldn't have done this without Medicaid coding academy. Nope, it wouldn't have happened. With this program I was not only given the tools to pass my exam but land my first coding job! If your not convinced then your not ready for a career in this field. Plain and simple!

My thoughts were ‘this can’t be real,... read more there’s no way you can become a coder from taking a class in 3 days & knowing anything you were taught’. I mean to go from having community colleges have a requirement of you taking 6-8 weeks worth of courses to become a coder to an academy that’s just 3 days, it’s inevitable to think you can’t become a coder within 3 days. Well guess what?! Mrs Ortega proved myself & the 40+ others that took the 3 day class with me in ATL wrong. She’s such an amazing person and teacher. She’s literally dedicated to her students. If we didn’t understand something, she went over it until we did; & if you were just one of the ones who still just couldn’t understand it, she took the time to give you one on one time to make sure you understood. Due to the current situation of not being able to take the test the next day after, you have to schedule them 1,2, or 3 weeks from the class dates or whenever AACP have test dates available, but please do not fret, you leave her class very well prepared with studying assignments to keep everything fresh. Get out of that space of fear people & see Mrs Ortega, I promise that you will not regret it. Best teacher I’ve had in awhile. I took the test in... read more 2 parts ,yesterday 5/21/2021 was my last test. I received my passing results the next day.Mrs. Ortega is gifted by God to instruct plus she gives you a wristband that has a scripture from the bible to motivate you on her "keep it moving" wristband that says. Let me tell you about the star of this course Mrs. Ortega. She is a wonderful teacher I have never met any teacher who is as dedicated to her students as she is. She is there to help you no matter what , if you can't find a page she will come to you and help you find a page if you can't understand a topic in class she will explain it to you until you get it. She really wants us to do well and help us. I feel really blessed to have met her and I am really grateful for all she has done for me and for our class. Its not just the her but even her staff has that same dedication she has. They will help you and put in all what they have to achieve your goal. Everyone there is so kind and helpful. The biggest thing I can tell you is just trust Mrs. Ortga because she knows what she is doing listen to her and do what she asks you to do all the pre work and homework because in the beginning I wasn't too sure what was going on with the pre work but once she completed the course everything was so clear. So just trust her and follow her instructions and you don't have to worry because she and her staff will be there for you.
