Her unique tabbing system will help you get to know your book and how to easily code what you should code. But that's not to say coding will be a piece of cake after taking her class, because it is very challenging. What she will teach you is just half the battle, the remaining will be entirely up to you. The input/effort you put in will help determine your success in this field of work. The best part about taking Ms. Ortega's class was her passion that she had while teaching all of us. She didn't just teach just to teach things to get things over with, she wanted us to be able to comprehend and utilize what/why we were learning the information. Not only that, she's an instructor who cares about her students and their success in this field! And I can't stress that enough!!! She'll go out of her way, if she has to...even move mountains! :) She's a great instructor with many many years of experience and if there's anyone you want to learn from, it's her! I am so thankful to have been given the chance to have Ms. Ortega as an instructor, you won't regret it!

I prayed to God one day that I would find something that... read more sparked my interest in regards to a career. The next day I stumbled upon mrs. Ortega's YouTube videos. I once attended Penn Foster and received a career diploma in medical billing and coding, but you see, that got me nowhere. That diploma is sitting in my closet collecting dust because it holds no value. I learned through Mrs. Ortega's YouTube videos that a CPC was the way I should have started. Mrs. Ortega seemed so confident in her videos, that she could help me pass the exam in just 3 days. I decided her confidence was enough to make me go for it. Here I am, at the end of my day 3. There is so much to say. Day one was the hardest. I had no idea what I was doing. I had so many questions but it's okay because day 2 got better. Everything made a little more sense. And then day 3, the last day, everything just clicked. I had so much confidence in Mrs. Ortega that I scheduled my CPC exam for the very next day. I take my CPC exam tomorrow and I could not be any more confident than I am right now. To be honest, I have never felt this confident in anything, that I have ever done, in my life. It is a great feeling and I owe that all to Mrs Ortega and the great people at Medical Coding Academy. Mrs. Ortega is absolutely amazing. She never left the room, not once. She was there for anyone that needed help even during breaks. That says so much to me. These Classes were from 8am to 7pm. That's a long, long time not to leave a room. Mrs. Ortega is an angel in disguise. If you are on the fence about MCA.... just do it. You will never have this kind of confidence going into a board exam with out their help. It is 100%worth it.

It is important to be sure and finish ALL the advanced assignments BEFORE you attend the class. It really is to your benefit and will help you understand what she is teaching during the class time. Mrs. Ortega is the best teacher! She is very passionate, patient and enthusiastic as she teaches the strategies she has developed to help you pass the certification exam. God put her in my pathway. Of that I am sure! Ms. Ortega is exactly the same in person as she is on YouTube. She is passionate about what she does, she is un-matched as far as subject matter knowledge goes, and her enthusiasm shines through. A word of warning: It is a very intense three day boot camp. When she talks about that in her videos, that is no joke!. However, you will be amazed at how much you learn and retain through it all. Her methods for navigating the CPC exam WORK! I promise you they do! Ms. Ortega always says in her videos that she's a text away. She is absolutely telling you the truth. I have to confess, I didn't pass my CPC on the first attempt. I didn't manage my time well enough. However, as soon as I let her know that I didn't make it on the first try, she was on the case. She helped me with extra practice cases, with advice, and with a patience and kindness. Today, I got a wonderful Christmas present when I found out I had passed the CPC. It truly is a beast! As a teacher myself, I here want to say that Ms. Ortega has in a full measure the most important quality a teacher has to have and that is she has a true servant heart. One last thing. If the cost is causing you to doubt whether you should do this or not; if the need to possibly travel to Dallas or to a city near you; if timed tests make you nervous like they do me, do not listen to the doubts. Do what it takes to get signed up for the three-day course. You'll never be sorry you did. And please do the pre-work before you show up for class. You'll be very glad you did.
