She... read more takes her love of teaching very seriously and puts her ALL into her students. She applies the pressure to ensure you’re prepared for the exam and a successful coding career. She’s very thorough giving you the tools you need to pass the exam, getting the job, interviewing, and your new coding career. During the prep exam workshop she is not the angel you see on youtube. She is this little petite Drill Sergeant who will put the fire under your feet!! The class is very intense, very fast paced, and can be overwhelming if you don’t do ALL of your pre-work. However when the 3 days are over its a big relief because you will be able maneuver through your books, follow instructions, find and understand the correct answers. Her curriculum and teaching strategy makes it fun & easy to find the codes, without needing to MEMORIZE thousands of terminology or anatomy terms. Mrs Ortega was heaven sent! If you’re looking for a teacher to teach you the basics of coding and how to pass the CPC medical coding exam with ZERO coding experience... Then Look no further Mrs. Ortega and her team are IT!! Well now is your... read more chance, I was so blessed to have met the Angel of what God sent as my instructor Mrs. Ortega. from MCA academy, I couldn't ask for such a humble soul who will go over and beyond to go to my hometown and teach me how to be a skill full coder and as well as knowing guidelines in the CPT manual. Just taking the time to explain and help you understand has brought me so much life in to coding that now after her 1 day COC course and 1 day course for the CPMA , I have learned so much and if it wasn't for her I would be lost and now guided properly and would of spent so much money if I would of went else where with that being said put your faith in Mrs.Ortega you will be in for treat that would be so worth it in a life time. I will be sitting in for these exams soon but will definitely post once I pass and I know it in my spirit I will. I did a lot of research on different schools in my area and even online classes but I kept getting disappointed with what I was seeing .. So one night, literally one week before Mrs Ortega was to held her 3 day course in Orlando I stumbled upon her program. After reading all the wonderful reviews and seeing her YouTube videos something inside of me told me to go for it and sign up! And boy I’m so glad I listened.. Mrs Ortega teaches with passion , she puts her whole heart into what she does... She lights a fire in you to go after the alphabet soup and have more credentials to your name.. I prayed to God one day that I would find something that... read more sparked my interest in regards to a career. The next day I stumbled upon mrs. Ortega's YouTube videos. I once attended Penn Foster and received a career diploma in medical billing and coding, but you see, that got me nowhere. That diploma is sitting in my closet collecting dust because it holds no value. I learned through Mrs. Ortega's YouTube videos that a CPC was the way I should have started. Mrs. Ortega seemed so confident in her videos, that she could help me pass the exam in just 3 days. I decided her confidence was enough to make me go for it. Here I am, at the end of my day 3. There is so much to say. Day one was the hardest. I had no idea what I was doing. I had so many questions but it's okay because day 2 got better. Everything made a little more sense. And then day 3, the last day, everything just clicked. I had so much confidence in Mrs. Ortega that I scheduled my CPC exam for the very next day. I take my CPC exam tomorrow and I could not be any more confident than I am right now. To be honest, I have never felt this confident in anything, that I have ever done, in my life. It is a great feeling and I owe that all to Mrs Ortega and the great people at Medical Coding Academy. Mrs. Ortega is absolutely amazing. She never left the room, not once. She was there for anyone that needed help even during breaks. That says so much to me. These Classes were from 8am to 7pm. That's a long, long time not to leave a room. Mrs. Ortega is an angel in disguise. If you are on the fence about MCA.... just do it. You will never have this kind of confidence going into a board exam with out their help. It is 100%worth it.
