First, let me say that I was very skeptical about doing it. I found the Academy on You Tube and most people would find it very unlikely that it could work. But my gut told me to go for it! I flew to Dallas from MN and took the 3 day CPC course. I'll admit I was very nervous on day one. What if I made the wrong decision? I am very happy to report that Mrs. Ortega is exactly as she appears online and her class is exactly as she describes it. Now, if you are looking for the easy way…this isn’t it. If you are looking for the smart way, then you’ve found it! The reason this works is because the curriculum is put together intelligently and effectively. It’s not magic, it’s strategy and very hard work. I was able to go from absolutely no knowledge of this industry to taking the CPC board exam and finishing 45 minutes early in only 3 days! It's not a vacation. Be prepared to be thinking hard and absorbing information all day every day. Then enjoy getting to use that education immediately at the exam! I feel such a sense of accomplishment and I can’t thank the staff at MCA enough. These people work so hard for us, it’s crazy! I’ve gone to community college before, and I never got from it what was provided in these 3 days. Mrs. Ortega teaches this course because it is her passion and she cares about helping people in the way she knows how, and you don’t find that very often. Plus it puts a fire in your belly to go out and get the job ASAP and put the new knowledge to work! Worth every penny! (and probably more to be honest) Thank you Mrs. Ortega!

This certainly was an intense and... read more grueling three day course, Ms. Ortega however kept us engaged the entire time and made everything easy to understand. I came into this course not knowing anything about medical coding or CPC certification but left learning so much and passing my exam on the first try with a good grade. I went into the exam confident and sure of my answers and was able to answer most of the questions with ease. This of course, is thanks to passion and commitment Ms. Ortega dedicates to her students. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone. You will be amazed at much you will learn in the short three days. I have been teaching medical billing and basic coding for almost a decade and I can tell you right now Mrs.Ortega is a GOD given angel!! She taught me so much more than I ever thought possible. She has come up with the most brilliant tabbing system!! She is an amazing instructor and I tell you she will make sure she drills all of this information in your head. There's a lot of prep work that must be done BEFORE coming to the classes, I warn you don't wait until the last minute to do the pre-work that comes into the mail. Also be prepared for a lot of classwork and homework as well. However, Mrs. Ortega is amazing, passionate teacher and the knowledge you gain in this 3 day course will take months in a community college and at higher prices with no confidence that you are prepared for the exam. Taking Mrs. Ortega course, I feel prepared! Thank you so much Ms Ortega, you and your team are awesome.
