Mrs. Ortega and her wonderful team of Belen, Angelica, Ladonna and Susan were beyond great. Words cannot express the feeling we have for them. I will not lie, the 3 days are challenging but so worth it! I am more than confident that my wife and I are overly prepared to take the CPC that we are scheduled for this upcoming Saturday, and we will pass it the first time!!! The energy of the class and the staff is so loving and helpful and inspiring. It’s like the family you didn’t know you had. If you are new in the industry or struggling to pass your CPC certification, YOU NEED TO BE HERE! You will not regret it.   • No Medical Experience I recently attended MCA’s 3-day Pre-Exam Medical Coding workshop with my husband (5/17-5/19) .... and let me tell you, Mrs. Ortega is like NO OTHER!! She... read more takes her love of teaching very seriously and puts her ALL into her students. She applies the pressure to ensure you’re prepared for the exam and a successful coding career. She’s very thorough giving you the tools you need to pass the exam, getting the job, interviewing, and your new coding career. During the prep exam workshop she is not the angel you see on youtube. She is this little petite Drill Sergeant who will put the fire under your feet!! The class is very intense, very fast paced, and can be overwhelming if you don’t do ALL of your pre-work. However when the 3 days are over its a big relief because you will be able maneuver through your books, follow instructions, find and understand the correct answers. Her curriculum and teaching strategy makes it fun & easy to find the codes, without needing to MEMORIZE thousands of terminology or anatomy terms. Mrs Ortega was heaven sent! If you’re looking for a teacher to teach you the basics of coding and how to pass the CPC medical coding exam with ZERO coding experience... Then Look no further Mrs. Ortega and her team are IT!! Me & the hubby are scheduled to take the AAPC exam May 25th... I’ll be back to let y’all know we passed!!!! - **** UPDATE WE PASSED**** Thank you again Mrs. Ortega and Staff! I learned so much in 3 days and I completed the course feeling ready for the CPC exam. Additionally, Mrs. Ortega is genuine, caring, and one heck of a teacher! It’s difficult to find the exact words to say about Mrs. Ortega because she really is a blessing and one in a million. I did all of the homework after the course and took my CPC Exam exactly one week after. I passed on my first try and I’m officially CPC-certified! I’ll definitely be back at MCA next year for the COC and CPMA courses. Thank you Mrs. Ortega for all that you do!!!!
