From the get-go, I knew from the YouTube videos that if I was going... read more to learn medical coding the ONLY person who could teach me would be Mrs. Ortega. I don't like being confused by 'fluff' and left hanging, not knowing what information is important over other information, etc. or just plain boring classroom instruction or online instruction. I was RIGHT. Mrs. Ortega is far from boring and she doesn't fill you up with fluff. She gets right down to the essentials. The 12 hours FLEW by. I enjoyed every second of it. I learned so much more than I ever imagined. I feel 100 percent confident in not only passing my CPC on the first try but I also feel very confident in entering the field. Mrs. Ortega is the real deal. She is the ONLY instructor for me. I look forward to taking more classes with her when I am ready to attain additional credentials. Thank you Mrs. Ortega for your knowledge, teaching expertise, and the sacrifices you make to travel to us!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY on any other program, I guarantee you will not be as prepared and equipped for the National Exam as you will with this Beautiful Gem! I really wanted to go back to work but then COVID happened and I wanted a different alternative to help provide for my family. This course was easy and very detailed plus I finished it in 1 month. I followed your instructions to the "T" and of course passed the certification test in the first try with plenty of time to spare. This truly is the best course out there! Her colorful underlining in the videos helped me locate... read more the key points to assign a medical code without reading the whole story. She alerted the student when it was necessary to read the whole medical case documentation. With the Evaluation and Management section I was quite impressed on how she labeled the CPT manual in order to figure out the leveling with confidence. Her tips and tricks gave me enough confidence for me to go out into the work force. I want to thank you for your Online Video course and please continue publishing. I... read more left other coding Facebook groups so I wouldn't get confused. I have looked into coding for a couple years now. I searched "coding bootcamp" and Ms. Ortega came up. I was skeptical at first, thinking there is no way. But a part of me was saying do it. Maybe it was my higher power telling me to finally jump and commit. I truly believed she would show me the way. She did! If you have question whether you should take this class or not, please I hope my review will make you jump! I went to the bootcamp in ATL. I won't lie I didn't sleep for 3 days. We were in class for 11 hours and had hours of homework, but it was beyond worth it. She keeps you awake and focused the entire time. Thank you, Ms. Ortega.
