I was very skeptical and negative, but Ms. Ortega was very welcoming and taught on a level every one could understand. She knew everybody by name which is cool because most teachers have no clue who is in the class. We also got interview and resume tips, so anyone interested in coding should contact the Academy. Like the old saying goes " Don't cheat yourself, treat yourself "

Mrs. Ortega is more than knowledgeable about all subject matters in regards to the Medical Coding and any and all of the classes that are offered by the Medical Coding Academy. Mrs. Ortega is a kind , smart, motivated, God-sent woman that that is cheering for everyone to be great and succeed at their endeavors.. Mrs. Ortega will make sure you have a understanding of all subject matter because she more than cares that you have a grasp of all the material at hand. In the 3 day Coding class there were many people that walk in to class of many different walks of life and careers.But while in that class Mrs.Ortega is able to project a understanding of any and all subject matter to the whole class. Mrs.Ortega makes sure that you are more that prepared for for the class, the state board test and real life on the job functions .I actually went to college for Medical billing and Coding and obtain Associates Degree in Medical Billing and Coding as well as a Bachelors in Biology and Chemistry. But I learned far more in the 3 day boot camp class offered by the Medical Coding Academy which is owned by Mrs. Ortega then I learned while obtaining my associates,to were I felt more than comfort taking the state board test immediately after the class. I took the test on July 30, 2018 and I passed the CPC with a 90% out of 100.Since July 2018 I have taken the following classes thru the Medical Coding Academy - Certified Outpatient Coder Class-COC Certified Professional Medical Auditor Class- CPMA Certified Professional Biller Class -CPB Certified Professional Coder Class -CPC Certified Professional Compliance Officer Class - CPCO Certified Professional Practice Manager Class - CPMA Certified Risk Adjustment Class - CRC. I have obtained the following certification from taking taken the classes offered by by Mrs . Ortega and the Excellent organization of the Medical Coding Academy . CPC COC CRC CPCO CPMA CPPM I am scheduled to take the CPB ( Billing Test) and the CDEO ( Documentation) Test in January 2021. I want to one day have my own medical coding and billing office. So these class and certifications are directly in line with my future becoming even more a success. Being that I have worked in the pharmacy field for over twenty years but the work that I do and have done in the pharmacy field also intermingled with the medical field with the clinical work , coding , and billing . Taking all the classes and obtain the various different certifications through the Medical Coding Academy has allowed me to have so , so , many options to outpouring all my different degrees as well as certifications in the pharmacy field , the medical arena , and the world 🌍 of medical billing and coding. I now have options , I can work for someone else, I can work for myself, and/ or I can do both. I have opened up a gift that keeps on giving with numerous possibilities. Without having this education I would not be able to fulfill the dream of opening my own business .The Medical Coding Academy help put my goals as a business owner in perspective. I am now the owner of Rare Brilliance LLC, which will obtain work to provide the following- * Pharmacy Services ( Pre Authorizations and Prior Authorizations) * As well as services regarding medical billing and coding * Plus consulting on various medical and pharmacy insurances. * Tutoring on subjects regarding biology, chemistry, some advanced math , and pharmacy technician classes. The Medical Coding Academy has allowed me to work in a arena that I love, I love to be help others, inform patient’s of their options, and assist in the education of both young and older students . The Medical Coding had supplied a whole new word of education regarding the medical field as a whole. To all of you that are on the fence about take a class with the Medical Coding Academy , make a investment in yourself to where you can go work at any doctor’s office, hospital, or even go to work for yourself and start your own business.Mrs.Ortega is a superior educator as well as all of the other 5 educators that are on this panel of educating. Choosing the Medical Coding Academy will be one of the best decisions that you will make in your life time. You will gain so many more valuable skills , knowledge , understandings and a overall better form of yourself . To where you will never regret choosing the Medical Coding Academy. A few years ago, I was teaching and I broke my left femur and after that, I had to find something else.... read more In researching medical coding, I came across Ms. Ortega's YouTube channel. God put her in my pathway. Of that I am sure! Ms. Ortega is exactly the same in person as she is on YouTube. She is passionate about what she does, she is un-matched as far as subject matter knowledge goes, and her enthusiasm shines through. A word of warning: It is a very intense three day boot camp. When she talks about that in her videos, that is no joke!. However, you will be amazed at how much you learn and retain through it all. Her methods for navigating the CPC exam WORK! I promise you they do! Ms. Ortega always says in her videos that she's a text away. She is absolutely telling you the truth. I have to confess, I didn't pass my CPC on the first attempt. I didn't manage my time well enough. However, as soon as I let her know that I didn't make it on the first try, she was on the case. She helped me with extra practice cases, with advice, and with a patience and kindness. Today, I got a wonderful Christmas present when I found out I had passed the CPC. It truly is a beast! As a teacher myself, I here want to say that Ms. Ortega has in a full measure the most important quality a teacher has to have and that is she has a true servant heart. One last thing. If the cost is causing you to doubt whether you should do this or not; if the need to possibly travel to Dallas or to a city near you; if timed tests make you nervous like they do me, do not listen to the doubts. Do what it takes to get signed up for the three-day course. You'll never be sorry you did. And please do the pre-work before you show up for class. You'll be very glad you did.

With no help from the previous school I... read more attended, I was presented with an opportunity to take Mrs. Ortega' s class. I took it, learned so much in 3 days and passed the CPC exam on my 1st try!!! This is a huge accomplishment for me. One of my old supervisors saw that I passed and immediately asked me for my resume. She currently works for BCBS a Medical Auditor. Thank you sooo much for this amazing experience and I'll see you for that Alphabet Soup! �
