The pre-work and the course itself was intense, but you will be SO impressed with what you... read more can do and how much you can handle when you set your mind to something. I learned so much in 3 days and I completed the course feeling ready for the CPC exam. Additionally, Mrs. Ortega is genuine, caring, and one heck of a teacher! It’s difficult to find the exact words to say about Mrs. Ortega because she really is a blessing and one in a million. I did all of the homework after the course and took my CPC Exam exactly one week after. I passed on my first try and I’m officially CPC-certified! I’ll definitely be back at MCA next year for the COC and CPMA courses. Thank you Mrs. Ortega for all that you do!!!!

Why pay a school loan money when you can... read more pay yourself money and not have a school loan that ruins your credit. Please do yourself a favor take her class take a leap of faith. Aren't you tired of the broke life i am. It makes so upset when i waste time and money at that school. I have mouths to feed. She's a phenomenal person you will be blessed and happy that you took the class.

  • Mrs Ortega and MCA was a godsend. I recently became a single mother and was forced to find a new career that could be more conducive to my current lifestyle.... read more I was interested in the medical field and began researching coding. I came across her on YouTube and was instantly intrigued with her passion for teaching. She is all that she claims to be and more. She breaks down coding to the simplest form. She is a master at her craft. You will learn more in 3 days then you could ever gather in a 3 year program. You will NOT regret this investment. With that being said, the best advice I can give anyone who is contemplating signing up because " it sounds too good to be true", stop questioning it and give her a call. It is definitely too good but it is all true. It was the most informative 3 days of my life and I had never opened up a coding book before her class. Make sure you follow all her instructions and do ALL the prework and homework she gives you prior to showing up on day 1. There is a method to her madness and it will make all the difference in the world for those 3 days.

Mrs Ortega really did a great job getting all the info across to the huge calss we had. I think you were fair in repeating and explaining extra for people but also was able to KEEP IT MOVIN! I took my exam today and feel good about it. I finished before time was called thankfully! Mrs Ortega i am not sure how you do it but THANK YOU for the hard work to help me succeed!

  • Had a wonderful experience with medical coding academy. I can’t recommend it enough for anyone who is thinking about a career change. Mrs. Ortega breaks down everything. I came to... read more class Friday having never coded before in my life. Now I feel completely prepared to take the board exam. So if you decide to try this out (and if your in a position like me, you have no reason not to) don’t be scared to take a chance. You have a real opportunity to succeed in this career field. Full disclosure, if you don’t complete the pre work and homework, this board exam will be very hard. It’s literally a coding boot camp up here in Dallas. So be prepared to tear your hair out and and thank Mrs. Ortega for it in the end. A few headaches and short term pain will be worth it for a new career and a long term happiness
