  • I was hesitant to take this course but am so dang happy I did! Went to the Dallas class mid-May and it was amazing. I have an extensive Ophthalmic background,... read more with a small amount of coding knowledge, but nothing like what I learned. 3 days packed full of learning from Miss Ortega, who is a fountain of information. Long days and nights to ensure you have all you need to pass your test and start a new career. If you don’t want to work hard for 3 days I would suggest taking a college course for 18 months instead. I took my test on June 1st and PASSED!!!!!!! Now working on my resume and the rest of my workbook that we were given. A humongous thanks to Miss Ortega and the crew. I couldn’t have done it without you❣️❣️

Her colorful underlining in the videos helped me locate... read more the key points to assign a medical code without reading the whole story. She alerted the student when it was necessary to read the whole medical case documentation. With the Evaluation and Management section I was quite impressed on how she labeled the CPT manual in order to figure out the leveling with confidence. All of the staff and instructors at Medical Coding Academy have a heart for the students! They don’t take your investment lightly! They invest in you and give you all the strategies to succeed! My best advice if you are on the fence... RUN don’t walk and sign up! When you sign up do ALL of the Pre-work and classwork, it is essential to your success! If possible I recommend staying on site even if you are local (you’ll be glad you did). It really is AMAZING!
