Not only did you give me the weapon of knowledge to do my exam today, you restored a sense of faith that I didn’t know I have been so far away from. The most rewarding feeling is knowing that someone else is fighting just as hard as you are to succeed and speaks it to existence EVERYDAY. But the true MVP is your husband. For those who will read this, she works hard day and night to give success by shining light and faith onto her students; but he works even harder in the shadows to make sure the light inside her heart for who she is and what she is doing for others shines brighter. I’m a winner because of you guys. And if I don’t miss ANYTHING else, I’m definitely going to miss your smile. Thank you both. And for others reading this, if you are interested enough to look her up, don’t doubt making that move to see her. TAKE THE CLASS! You want to see it to believe it TAKE THE CLASS!!!   • I originally was VERY hesitant to sign up for any online course when you hear about all the scams out there. I signed up for a course at a... read more local school that would have taken 9 months to complete to then be prepared to take the CPC. I never researched any online courses out of fear. I then was really feeling like I was wasting time waiting for my classes to begin and started researching more. I found Medical Coding Academy and the rest is history! I requested a refund back from the school I enrolled in right away. Belen was so amazing to help me navigate signing up and answering all of my skeptical questions. I am proud to say that 3.5 weeks after starting my online courses I passed my CPC exam with an 83%! Listen, nothing worthwhile is easy. The program is not designed to rush through it etc. I was only able to finish so much coursework so fast because I studied full time at least 8 hours a day. I am currently out of work and was able to dedicate my every moment into this. Mrs. Ortega tells you exactly what you need to do. Follow her instructions. Another tip is to pause the video and work out the case prior to her going through it. Then see if you got the correct answer. This took exponentially longer but sure paid off in the long run. It is challenging but she explains it so well and in detail. It will feel overwhelming in the beginning but it all comes full circle just keep pushing. I also recorded myself reading my notes as well as flash cards. I would go walking and have them playing to help me study on the go. You will have to work but she gives you every tool you need. If you want to pass your test and understand guidelines etc then take this course. I am excited for my future and to see where this takes me! Thank you Mrs. Ortega for developing a curriculum that kept my attention and was methodical. Thank you Belen for standing by to help me with any questions or support I needed! PS I am still waiting for my prior school to issue a refund check! I already finished my course and passed my test! How amazing is that!? You get out of it what you put in so remember that!

  • I had been looking into medical coding for months now, but had been struggling to afford to pay to go to college. I came across MCA while I was searching... read more for medical coding courses, and I decided to take a chance! Mrs. Ortega's course is 100% WORTH IT!! I have no background or experience in coding at all, I have only had experience working in retail. I took Mrs. Ortega's CPC Course, and I passed my exam on the FIRST try! Everything you hear about Mrs. Ortega is all true, she is 100% there for her students, and she will do whatever it takes to get you there. Please support MCA and take Mrs. Ortega's class while you can because it truly is a miracle!! Just do your pre-work and just listen to what she tells you to do and she will guide you in the right way! If I can do it, anyone can do it!! Shout out to you Mrs. Ortega and the staff of MCA for all the hard work and sacrifices you all have made to make this course happen. This is truly going to be a life changing experience for me because now I can finally look forward to having a career, and a future! You have no idea how much this all means to me. I will wake up every morning now, and thank God that I took that class. Especially when I get up to go to work, and be thankful that I get to be a part of the medical industry and do what I've always wanted to do! Thank you MCA - the academy that changes lives and opens so many doors of opportunities! I look forward to being back in again to further my education, and get my "alphabet soup"!
