But anyway, she kept saying, pick this answer and KEEP IT MOVING. The whole time I was taking my test, I literally could hear her saying it every time I chose the right one. I even smiled and laughed to myself. Who does that during a test? Thank you Ms. Ortega and her holy crew for being patient with us, and sharing your gift, your passion, but most of all, your time. I felt like a rock star going into that test and with an hour to spare, I walked out feeling just the same, it’s all because of you. When I pass I know for a fact, I’ll be back on here posting that BIG PASSING SCORE! I’m gonna take a picture. Bless you!!

If you come prepared and open to learn, you will be excited to want more of her knowledge. I will say one thing, THAT YOU MUST DO YOUR TO DO LIST AND HOMEWORK!! You will struggle in class. You will get no sleep trying to catch up and do the work she assigns you. I would like to thank Mrs. Ortega for getting me excited to want to move even further in this industry.   • What can I say.... She is a lot. The class is a lot. It takes 100% commitment to get everything you need. You get only enough sleep to function on.... read more It’s worth every missed second of sleep, every dollar spent, and every thing of ribbon white out I throw across the room. Here is my story... Mrs Ortega is pretty amazing! I took her 3 day class on October 5-7 and took my test on October 13. In between that time hurricane Michael hit my home and I was out of power for 7 days and in the middle of those 7 days was my test. To say I was worried would be an understatement. Yes you come home with homework to keep you on track and keep it fresh on your mind but in this situation it was a struggle. I had no power, a roof covered in tarps, 2 stir crazy boys, trying to help the community and ones that were in worse shape then me, as well as studying and remembering everything Mrs Ortega taught me! If I would not have taken her class I know 100% I would not have even came close to passing. I messaged her with my struggles and told her I was worried. She believed in me more than I believed in myself. At that moment I know she gave me everything I needed and I couldn’t let her down. I didn’t reschedule my test because of the things happening out of my control. I put everything I had into God and Mrs Ortega and I sat down and took that test like I knew every answer! I passed with a 86!!!! She is truly God sent in this field and I will never ever ever dream of trying to further my career without seeking her advice and classes out first. Take heed of everything this amazing woman says. She knows her stuff. Do exactly like she says and everything she says and you too will pass!

  • I recently took the three day intensive class and all I can say is wow! When I sat for the board certification test I felt sorry for the people there... read more that took their classes at a community college or another online program. There is alot of information to learn in three days, I compare it to learning 6 huge reference books. However Ms. Ortega has a gift to teaching this subject very thoroughly so that you learn it thoroughly. She also teaches on how to take the test so that when you finally taking the test you are very familiar with the format. This woman is gifted and she cares about you and will sit down with you to go over any obstacle that you may have. I plan on advancing to other certifications and will gladly fly to Texas again from North Carolina to be a student of the Medical Coding Academy. It simply does not make sense to spend 6 months in a class elsewhere and still not receive the knowledge and passion from this organization. I am very grateful that I made the decision to attend this 3 day class. I am completely new to this industry and feel validated that I made the correct decision and will gladly do it again. Thank you Medical Coding Academy and Ms. Ortega.

Mrs. Ortega is more than knowledgeable about all subject matters in regards to the Medical Coding and any and all of the classes that are offered by the Medical Coding Academy. Mrs. Ortega is a kind , smart, motivated, God-sent woman that that is cheering for everyone to be great and succeed at their endeavors.. Mrs. Ortega will make sure you have a understanding of all subject matter because she more than cares that you have a grasp of all the material at hand. In the 3 day Coding class there were many people that walk in to class of many different walks of life and careers.But while in that class Mrs.Ortega is able to project a understanding of any and all subject matter to the whole class. Mrs.Ortega makes sure that you are more that prepared for for the class, the state board test and real life on the job functions .I actually went to college for Medical billing and Coding and obtain Associates Degree in Medical Billing and Coding as well as a Bachelors in Biology and Chemistry. But I learned far more in the 3 day boot camp class offered by the Medical Coding Academy which is owned by Mrs. Ortega then I learned while obtaining my associates,to were I felt more than comfort taking the state board test immediately after the class. I took the test on July 30, 2018 and I passed the CPC with a 90% out of 100.Since July 2018 I have taken the following classes thru the Medical Coding Academy - Certified Outpatient Coder Class-COC Certified Professional Medical Auditor Class- CPMA Certified Professional Biller Class -CPB Certified Professional Coder Class -CPC Certified Professional Compliance Officer Class - CPCO Certified Professional Practice Manager Class - CPMA Certified Risk Adjustment Class - CRC. I have obtained the following certification from taking taken the classes offered by by Mrs . Ortega and the Excellent organization of the Medical Coding Academy . CPC COC CRC CPCO CPMA CPPM I am scheduled to take the CPB ( Billing Test) and the CDEO ( Documentation) Test in January 2021. I want to one day have my own medical coding and billing office. So these class and certifications are directly in line with my future becoming even more a success. Being that I have worked in the pharmacy field for over twenty years but the work that I do and have done in the pharmacy field also intermingled with the medical field with the clinical work , coding , and billing . Taking all the classes and obtain the various different certifications through the Medical Coding Academy has allowed me to have so , so , many options to outpouring all my different degrees as well as certifications in the pharmacy field , the medical arena , and the world 🌍 of medical billing and coding. I now have options , I can work for someone else, I can work for myself, and/ or I can do both. I have opened up a gift that keeps on giving with numerous possibilities. Without having this education I would not be able to fulfill the dream of opening my own business .The Medical Coding Academy help put my goals as a business owner in perspective. I am now the owner of Rare Brilliance LLC, which will obtain work to provide the following- * Pharmacy Services ( Pre Authorizations and Prior Authorizations) * As well as services regarding medical billing and coding * Plus consulting on various medical and pharmacy insurances. * Tutoring on subjects regarding biology, chemistry, some advanced math , and pharmacy technician classes. The Medical Coding Academy has allowed me to work in a arena that I love, I love to be help others, inform patient’s of their options, and assist in the education of both young and older students . The Medical Coding had supplied a whole new word of education regarding the medical field as a whole. To all of you that are on the fence about take a class with the Medical Coding Academy , make a investment in yourself to where you can go work at any doctor’s office, hospital, or even go to work for yourself and start your own business.Mrs.Ortega is a superior educator as well as all of the other 5 educators that are on this panel of educating.
