However after Mrs Ortega’s class I feel I have a fighting chance of passing my CPC certification exam. Trust me the 3 day course is your best option. Mrs Ortega’s teaching system is so on point it seems like she’s pouring the information into your brain. you just need to pay attention and take notes. “THANK GOD I found this course. I recently decided to turn to medical coding for my career path instead of what I have been planning since I was a freshman in high school. Once I made this career path change, I was OVERWHELMED by what I was finding online about the career field: NOTHING. I found all these (basically bogus) schools online (I needed an online school because I still am enrolled as a part time student at my community college and work full time). I didn’t know which test to go with: AAPC, AHIMA, NHA. It was mortifying that I had no help online figuring out what to do. One day I just decided to search medical coding on Facebook to see reviews on which schools were actually preparing people to pass one of the tests. I found MCA and the reviews about Mrs. Ortega were phenomenal so I slept on it and prayed about it and read about her faithful curriculum and decided I was going to do it. I attended her 3 day course. What to expect: HARD CORE, SLEEP DEPRIVED, LONG HOUR COURSE. But what you get from this short term and rigorous experience is an intriguing and influential guidance in order to pass the CPC. Although tiresome and overwhelming at times, the staff and Mrs. Ortega are so supportive and helpful to understand the work. DO THE PREWORK!!!! Take 6 minute bathroom breaks and be ready to buckle down because teaching is what Mrs. Ortega is ready for with God’s presence and it is the best/worst experience you will have. GREAT JOB MCA!!!!! I’m taking my test in 6 days and am excited to see how I do!UPDATE: I PASSED! 80%!!! Everything Mrs. Ortega tells you to do helps you to pass the test! So happy & I will definitely be taking the CPB class here in a couple months with her! AMAZING TEACHER & CURRICULUM!!!!”
