1. Get Certified

In medical coding, practice makes perfect. This is true whether you’re talking about job knowledge in general, but also with the interview. You can land adequate jobs without proper practice, but you need to prepare to land a dream job.

5. Don’t Accept the First Offer

Finally, don’t sell yourself short and jump on the first job offer you receive. Wait, counter or decline if you think the offer isn’t strong enough and if you have multiple offers, consider leveraging them against each other to get your best medical coding job possible.
