I am so excited about this board exam and passing it. Because I will on June 1, 2019. I want to say thank you so much for your teaching and your wonderful spirit Mrs. Ortega! This weekend was hard, but so worth it!

There was a lot of pre-work and many... read more nights of only 2 or 3 hours of sleep. It was all worth it. I am now CPC certified thanks to her! You will learn so much and feel confident at the AAPC if you take her course.

  • I just finished this course in Minnesota and it was the most intense but best thing I've ever done for myself! Mrs. Ortega is both the sweetest and toughest teacher... read more you'll ever have. Tough with good reason: She just wants to see you succeed. With that being said, I will give you a few tips: MAKE SURE ALL OF THE PREWORK IS DONE. No questions about it; no ifs, ands, or buts!!! And don't start it the night before. I'd recommend starting at least a week or two before. Also, be prepared to dedicate the entire weekend (even after class hours) to completing homework. So, you may want to take the day after off as well. Mrs. Ortega truly has a wealth of knowledge about the industry and will do WHATEVER she can to see you succeed, so much so in a way I have never seen from any other teachers I've had. Definitely recommend!

The materials are well designed-from the tabbing system all the way to the flashcards and resumes, Mrs. Ortega thought of it all for her students. The CPC exam is a challenging test, but with this program, I knew I was equipped to handle that challenge. Mrs. Ortega teaches you invaluable information and strategies to master everything the test throws at you. I am pleased to say that I passed the exam on the first try! The most important part of it all is that Mrs. Ortega gives all the glory to God, and her heart is for her students to know Him. She uses her platform for His glory! If you are thinking of getting into medical coding, I highly recommend Medical Coding Academy!

You'd be hard-pressed... read more to find a more caring, supportive, and knowledgeable instructor! She has your back and really wants you to succeed! All that being said, you need to go in with the right attitude and do the work. Do all of the pre-work before attending the course. Do the homework every night when you're taking the course. Do the homework before taking the test. Get to class on time with a smile on your face and jump in with both feet. Just do it! Trust yourself, trust the process, and above all, trust your instructor. She knows what she's doing, folks!
