  • Okay, so, I'm writing this immediately after receiving my pass my CPC certification exam. I finished in 3 hours out of the 5 hours 40 minutes that the exam provides... read more and passed with the equivalent of a B. Ms. Ortega knows her coding. Ms. Ortega knows the test. Ms. Ortega knows what works and what doesn't. This three-day course probably helped me prepare better for the exam than the official AAPC prep course. I've taken both; the prep course is good for the basics, but if you want to pass the exam and pass it quickly, then it would behoove you to attend Ms. Ortega's boot camp. It's well worth the price and the pain, I promise you. Listen to Ms. Ortega. Follow Ms. Ortega's instructions. Do as Ms. Ortega says and eat the exam for breakfast. It really is just that simple.

  • There are just no words to describe “Mrs. Ortega” but PHENOMENAL! This spirit-filled woman was God-sent for such a time as this for me. She through God’s help... read more anointed our abilities to receive all the knowledge we needed to become successful coders. I was struggling trying to pass the CPC (Certified Professional Coder) exam. Then when a friend mentioned Mrs. Ortega’s class the “Medical Coding Academy” to me; yes, at first there was a little doubt but I had to walk out on faith and trust the God in me. After watching her videos on the internet and reviews and reading all the posts I was sold on taking her class. I decided she’s the one who will take me to the next level of my career in coding. I signed up immediately. She’s now my teacher, my instructor and my mentor in Medical Coding. She took me and the entire class under her wings and boy did we fly. In 3-days of boot camp in Dallas, Texas on November 17th – 19th she broke the body down from head-to-toe and then we took the EXAM the following day on the 20th. We became the Professional Coders she built us up to become. YES, yes, yes I PASSED on the 1st try after taking her class!!! I’m so excited that I’m CERTIFIED! She is the absolute truth when it comes down to skillful teaching. She’s not the norm, she’s a gift from God. She knows her stuff. She not only teaches it; she lives it, she breathes it and she produced it. I’m telling you if you are struggling in trying to pass the CPC exam you need to sign-up TODAY and take her class. She’s the #1 Lady in the land that I know of, who will give you all the tools you need to become that successful medical coder you’ve dreamed to become. When she says, “write this down…LOL” you better write it down or you’ll miss something very intriguing in your studies.   • Oh my God! I've never been able to afford to travel to take MrsOrtegas 3 day class but then i saw she took her course on line! I... read more bought it 5 days ago and I'm beyond hooked!! I was one of the unfortunate people who got talked into the aapc online course last year and it was a total nightmare...confusing and highly frustrating!!! But in taking the MCA online course, I'm just so thrilled!!! i broke into tears just watching the very first video because I already knew I had done the right thing. I was immediately addicted! When I say theres something real special about Mrs Ortega I mean it tenfold!!! You can see right away in her passionate way of teaching that this is no job to her but her purpose...her calling!! Her way of simplifying all of the difficult guidelines are are unreal. I have watched so many educators on YouTube but nooone holds a candle to this woman...nobody!!! Not only are you "sucked in" to her teachings but she is so inspiring along the way and when you least expect it she makes you fall off your chair laughing!!! Shes just amazing to watch and her voice is heavenly! She basically does all the hard work for you and spoon feeds us. Indeed this lady truly is the Mother of Coders. Thank you for being a one of kind teacher ..this industry needed you and we are all blessed through you. I will be posting as I get further into the course. P.s. the Take home test prep kit is head over heals genius! Everything you will possibly need besides the online teachings are contained in the kit. I literally threw away every other study guide I ever had...I'm just in shock over this second to none online experience theres no other word for it.

She breaks coding down into simple form, and you will truly be able to understand coding... read more even if you think there is no hope! I learned more in her 3 day couse, than I did taking a 6 month couse at a vocational college. She is just that awesome and passionate about coding, and after you take her class you will be too and you will pass the exam on the first try! If you've taken the CPT exam before and failed, I plead with you to give her class a try and I promise you, you won't regret it. She is always a phone call away and she will so whatever she can to help! I traveled many miles to take her course, and it was the best decision that I have ever made!! Because of Mrs. Ortega course I look at coding differently because I understand it, and because of that I'm excited about my future and all the opportunities I will have from the knowledge I gained in her 3 day course!!
