I always knew I wanted to do medical coding but... read more didn’t want to spent all this money and all these months going to school when life is just so busy already . I did a lot of research on different schools in my area and even online classes but I kept getting disappointed with what I was seeing .. So one night, literally one week before Mrs Ortega was to held her 3 day course in Orlando I stumbled upon her program. After reading all the wonderful reviews and seeing her YouTube videos something inside of me told me to go for it and sign up! And boy I’m so glad I listened.. Mrs Ortega teaches with passion , she puts her whole heart into what she does... She lights a fire in you to go after the alphabet soup and have more credentials to your name.. Mrs Ortega is a leader , a strong women , your biggest cheerleader and your teacher ... Trust me you are going to be a believer the minute you meet her.

  • What can I say.... She is a lot. The class is a lot. It takes 100% commitment to get everything you need. You get only enough sleep to function on.... read more It’s worth every missed second of sleep, every dollar spent, and every thing of ribbon white out I throw across the room. Here is my story... Mrs Ortega is pretty amazing! I took her 3 day class on October 5-7 and took my test on October 13. In between that time hurricane Michael hit my home and I was out of power for 7 days and in the middle of those 7 days was my test. To say I was worried would be an understatement. Yes you come home with homework to keep you on track and keep it fresh on your mind but in this situation it was a struggle. I had no power, a roof covered in tarps, 2 stir crazy boys, trying to help the community and ones that were in worse shape then me, as well as studying and remembering everything Mrs Ortega taught me! If I would not have taken her class I know 100% I would not have even came close to passing. I messaged her with my struggles and told her I was worried. She believed in me more than I believed in myself. At that moment I know she gave me everything I needed and I couldn’t let her down. I didn’t reschedule my test because of the things happening out of my control. I put everything I had into God and Mrs Ortega and I sat down and took that test like I knew every answer! I passed with a 86!!!! She is truly God sent in this field and I will never ever ever dream of trying to further my career without seeking her advice and classes out first. Take heed of everything this amazing woman says. She knows her stuff. Do exactly like she says and everything she says and you too will pass!

  • Ok. So, I didn’t have Facebook and I normally don’t leave reviews but Mrs. Ortega and her Medical Coding Family that I’m now a part of are worth every bit... read more of this!! Did I tell you I hate Facebook! Anyway, let me explain to you the character of Mrs. Ortega and how her actions in her Momma Coder programs speak volumes about her.. Towards the beginning of her career as an instructor she noticed the struggles and disappointments of her students not being able to pass their boards. So, it saddened her deeply and she wondered there has to be more she could.do ...well here you have it folks, she has taken so much time out of her life to possibly make things easier for example she has her own book color code tabbing system that alone is work!! She makes coding look easy and pulls all the important information out. And makes understanding easier! She has catchy phrases and ways of helping you remember things . I don’t know very many instructors or people for that matter . That would do all this for strangers.. Her students at which she has never met but cares so very much about!! You are truly the BEST thanks for your patience , positivity and phone calls that pulled me through getting my certificate!

Mrs. Ortega and her... read more team did an amazing job with the production and put together a jaw dropping amount of information and materials for each student. Mrs. Ortega is thorough and decisive throughout the course. She keeps your attention and is very to the point, focusing in everything you need to pass the board exam. The 350 Cases textbook is honestly a blessing. It breaks down each and every case so you can easily understand the material and Mrs. Ortega is with you every step of the way going through all 350 on video with you. She clarifies everything with ease and to the best of her ability for full understanding. I would love to attend the 3-day course as well just because!-Double the learning but this will unfortunately depend now on the covid situation. Regardless, even if I can't attend the 3-day, I know with the MCA coding online course I have been given all the information I need to sit for the board exam. Listening and doing everything Mrs. Ortega says and putting in the work is key! After finishing the course and being an MCA "Go-To" coder, I know that I have a huge advantage to passing the national exam over the traditional classroom student. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication Mrs. Ortega and the MCA family, you are so appreciated.
