Guys if you or anyone you know is having a difficult time passing... read more the cpc board exam and/or is interested in becoming a certified medical coder but think it's impossible. � umm NO it's not, you just need Mrs. Ortega's course in your life� I have worked in the medical field for some time now and have never been so stressed, frustrated and worried about anything pertaining to it like I was for the cpc board exam. Like so many I prepared, took plenty of certified practice exams and studied my little heart out before walking in and taking this brutal exam just to fail it and be completely devastated. I had absolutely no plans to try again until 2 month later when a new coworker advised me about an amazing course he took a while back taught by the amazing Mrs. Ortega. Although having initial doubts I went ahead and registered and let me tell you, it is the BEST move I've made in regards to my professional future yet! She is very knowledgeable in every aspect of medical coding and makes sure all of her students clearly understand what's being taught. I am eagerly looking forward to my second go around at the exam and crushing it� Mrs. Ortega genuinely cares for everyone of her students, I've never encountered anyone with her passion to help people. Thank God for such a beautiful person!! Mrs. Ortega thank you so much doll! You rock��

  • I highly recommend The Medical Coding Academy! I am married, with 3 children and a career, so time is EXTREMELY VALUABLE. Since Medical Coding will be a complete career change... read more for me, I did not want to enroll in a long course to 1) Discover I wouldn't like it. 2) Not get the info I need. Both would waste time and money. I was never skeptical. I considered it a wise investment and I got MORE than I expected! Mrs. Ortega is even more genuine in person than she is in her videos (that was a bonus). It is so obvious that teaching and helping people is her gift and passion! Thank you to Mrs. Ortega and everyone at MCA! ***Tips for success - 1) Do all the pre-work before class (give yourself ample time). 2) If you are traveling, consider staying in a hotel closer. It will be an intense weekend. You'll appreciate the time you save on travel (to rest & study). 3) Prepare to be off line and focused only on the course that weekend (no hanging out, etc). UPDATE 4/13/17- I passed my CPC test on the 1st attempt with an 86%. I have no medical training or experience. I OWE IT ALL to the Medical Coding Academy (and God) and what I was taught in class! No doubt in my mind. I sat next to someone that worked in a hospital, took a 6 month course, and didn't finish the test. That speaks volumes about this course!

  • I just found out that I passed my exam for CPC. I wouldn't have made it without Mrs Ortega. She is by far the best teacher. Dont, I repeat DONT... read more waste your money elsewhere, especially in a technical school. I unfortunately went before I knew about MCA and now have a debt of $17K and learn nothing. The school never even gave me a HCPCS book until I had my exit exam. What a waste of time and money. But now Im glad I found out about MCA. I have learned so much with Mrs Ortega in 3 days than 10months in the technical school. So if you are thinking about, stop thinking and just to do it. I promise you, you wont regret it!

Even though she was going through her own career... read more struggles at that time she put her students before herself and helped guide them in the right direction for their careers. She is the most loving and caring person I have ever known. She has come such a long way and has done it all just to help others. I consider her my mentor. She is just absolutely an amazing person. She is not in this industry for money or even for herself, she is doing what she is doing because she loves to help others and that is the most important thing to think about when looking for a school; if they truly care about their students. And Ms. Ortega and Medical Coding Academy cares about each and every one of their students. Not only does she want to teach you but she wants to make sure you pass your exam on the first try when finished with her courses and get into a wonderful and growing career and succeed. She is the best with her lessons and getting the information across to understand and remember. I highly recommend Medical theCoding Academy over any other billing and coding school. They do in person classes and online classes and Ms. Ortega is the best when it comes to teaching people! Even if you have doubts about whether choosing Medical Coding Academy or not they always have someone available to talk to to answer any questions. Please don't pass up the opportunity to learn from Ms. Ortega. I promise you that you will not regret it and will have such a great future in this career field if you learn from her! And will have fun while learning as well. Once again, an absolutely amazing school and an even more amazing teacher!

I am SOOOOO glad that I took this course from Ms. Ortega. I took the CRC exactly 1 year ago & failed. I decided, well let me try my hand at the CPC. With Ms. Ortega's help, I passed the CPC on the first try! Please, please, please do all of the pre-work, in class work, etc. that she tells you to do. Although your hand may be tired from all of the writing, do it. It is SO worth the time, sacrifice, and effort. That cannot be stressed enough. Delissa Ortega/ Medical Coding Academy, you have a gift that just keeps on giving. I can't thank you enough!!!

  • I got the online course and was given immediate access! Brownie point 1! I got all my exam prep kit materials on the mail and still cant lift my jaw... read more off the ground about how impressed I am with it! Brownie point 2! McA has thought of it all!! Ive never seen anything like it. But the biggest that I've just completed the coding fundamentals module. I'm happy to report that I have already learned more in this one video from Mrs Ortega than I ever did when i was attended the 10 month vocational college..smh!!! cant believe I spent 20k on that school. If you're reading this you need to save yourselves the time and money and get the online from MCA. God I wish I would have found them first! Upward and onward..about to start the integumentary system! update!!! So I just had to jump on here and tell the Academy and anyone else who is reading this that I literally finished the online program about a week ago took my test this past Saturday and found out I passed on my 1st try tonight!! Can I just say I keep driving into my bed and screaming into my pillow that I passed over and over again!!!!! Needless to say I am beyond elevated. Listen guys all I can say is take this course and I mean dont even hesitate! You will never find any course better than the one from mca trust me I should know because I bought two others including aapc and they were worthless but Mrs Ortega teaches with her soul in this course and you feel it through the screen every minute ... Please do not try to go to college or by any other courses because you don't need anything but what Mrs Ortega has to teach you in this online course I'm trying my best here to keep you off on making terrible mistakes OK well I've said my piece I've gotta go best of luck to you all!
