What can I say.... She is a lot. The class is a lot. It takes 100% commitment to get everything you need. You get only enough sleep to function on.... read more It’s worth every missed second of sleep, every dollar spent, and every thing of ribbon white out I throw across the room. Here is my story... Mrs Ortega is pretty amazing! I took her 3 day class on October 5-7 and took my test on October 13. In between that time hurricane Michael hit my home and I was out of power for 7 days and in the middle of those 7 days was my test. To say I was worried would be an understatement. Yes you come home with homework to keep you on track and keep it fresh on your mind but in this situation it was a struggle. I had no power, a roof covered in tarps, 2 stir crazy boys, trying to help the community and ones that were in worse shape then me, as well as studying and remembering everything Mrs Ortega taught me! If I would not have taken her class I know 100% I would not have even came close to passing. I messaged her with my struggles and told her I was worried. She believed in me more than I believed in myself. At that moment I know she gave me everything I needed and I couldn’t let her down. I didn’t reschedule my test because of the things happening out of my control. I put everything I had into God and Mrs Ortega and I sat down and took that test like I knew every answer! I passed with a 86!!!! She is truly God sent in this field and I will never ever ever dream of trying to further my career without seeking her advice and classes out first. Take heed of everything this amazing woman says. She knows her stuff. Do exactly like she says and everything she says and you too will pass!

The course offered a no non-sense approach of systematically approaching the CPC... read more exam. The presentation delivers information that allows you to feel more confident in taking the exam. The instructor also linked CPT, ICD-10CM, and HCPCS in a cohesive format to better prepare your approach in taking the exam since time is of the essence and there is a lot to read. In the past, I have had many questions about medical coding and each training day resolved many of my past questions. The organization cares about your test outcome and your personal, professional success. The three days are intense but worth your time. Not only do I recommend everyone to take this course but if you really want to be certified DO NOT THINK TWICE. You will be glad you did it. By the way, I did not get pay for my opinion, nor am I related to anyone in the organization. I am just a student who took the course and wish somebody would have told me about Medical Coding Academy sooner.
