Mrs. Ortega truly has a gift, the way she teaches is one of a kind. She is the best teacher I have ever had. She is tough and she doesn't accept excuses. Her strategies and well thought out class gets you WELL prepared to pass the CPC on the first try. My exam was last Saturday and I passed the CPC exam with flying colors. Mrs. Ortega even provides support after the class, if you need her all you have to do is text her. Let me tell you! The boot camp was intense the work before class that has to be done is serious, then you have homework while in class. It took 3-4 hours each night. I was exhausted, but it was well worth it because I passed on my first try. I had a coworker take a local community college course and she failed the CPC exam. Mrs. Ortega gives you a fail proof plan, there is no way you will not pass if you do EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING she tells you. But anyway, she kept saying, pick this answer and KEEP IT MOVING. The whole time I was taking my test, I literally could hear her saying it every time I chose the right one. I even smiled and laughed to myself. Who does that during a test? Thank you Ms. Ortega and her holy crew for being patient with us, and sharing your gift, your passion, but most of all, your time. I felt like a rock star going into that test and with an hour to spare, I walked out feeling just the same, it’s all because of you. I was very... read more well prepared for the test because I followed Mrs. Ortega's directions to the letter. The days were very long and there were late nights doing homework but if you do the work you too will pass. Medical Coding Academy was a fantastic investment and I plan to take the COC in Dallas this spring. Stop thinking about maybe doing it someday. JUST DO IT!
