Mrs. Ortega is passionate about teaching and you can see the excitement and love for her students. Mrs. Ortega teaches with enthusiasm and simplicity to where you understand and get excited about medical coding. I was blown away by how a code can explain so much about a patient. At the end of my 3rd class I knew and UNDERSTOOD what I needed to know about medical coding and most of all I have everything I need to pass my exam. I recommend you sign up and take this 3 day course. You will go from, "what did I get myself into" to "I got this, I can do this". Thank you Mrs. Ortega for lighting a fire in me. I can't wait to see what awaits me in my career path.

I started learning with another school that was a year ago and i never got past the 1st chapter. It was basically teach yourself. Then in March of THIS year... read more i saw MCA and watch one video with Mrs. Ortega, and she blew me away. I havent been disappointed the entire course and I am so excited to say i just finshed all of the 350 cases and my exam is a few weeks away. Im doing the mock exam in a couple of days. I work in the denial dept at a multi providers office and when i showed the coding supervisor my books (because i was so proud of them) and told her what i was doing i got very negative comments. She went to a technical school and paid lots of money. Now when i see a denial and i know its out of sequence or the modifier is wrong they totally get mad with me and say you arent certified so dont tell us how to code. I was only trying to help. But i will be certified soon and that is all with Mrs Ortega's help and the passion she puts into this academy. She truly has been touched by God to do this. I cant tell you how happy I am. I got very sick a few years ago and lost everything my home my car my job and my self confidence. Now i will be able to get a job with flexibility and pays enough to get myself back to my normal. Leaving with your parents is not great when you are grown. God bless them and God bless Mrs Ortega and MCA.

Best Course I could have ever taken, I drove all the way from Denver Colorado to take 3 courses all at once so I could get that alphabet soup Ms.... read more Ortega talked about in her other YouTube Videos. If you have the money to take several courses all at once, I highly recommend doing so . I tested out all three of my exams pretty much within the same month and passed all three in the 1st try. Now I am CPC, COC, & CPMA board certified and it is all thanks to Ms. Ortega and her wonderful school, The Medical Coding Academy!

There's a lot of prep work that must be done BEFORE coming to the classes, I warn you don't wait until the last minute to do the pre-work that comes into the mail. Also be prepared for a lot of classwork and homework as well. However, Mrs. Ortega is amazing, passionate teacher and the knowledge you gain in this 3 day course will take months in a community college and at higher prices with no confidence that you are prepared for the exam. Taking Mrs. Ortega course, I feel prepared! Thank you so much Ms Ortega, you and your team are awesome.

I took the 3 day Medical Coding Certificate and Exam course 9/7/18-9/9/18. I was impressed with the information covered. I liked the way Mrs. Ortega explained the material. Mrs. Ortega... read more and her staff were very helpful. The course really prepared me for the exam. I took the exam on 9/10/18 and passed. Now I am a Certified Profession Coder. It was a hard weekend, full of long class hours and prep/home work each night after the class ended, but there is a lot of information to cover in just three days, so the home work is necessary. The prep/home work really does help prepare youfor the test. Thanks Mrs. Ortega & staff!

Okay, so, I'm writing this immediately after receiving my pass my CPC certification exam. I finished in 3 hours out of the 5 hours 40 minutes that the exam provides... read more and passed with the equivalent of a B. Ms. Ortega knows her coding. Ms. Ortega knows the test. Ms. Ortega knows what works and what doesn't. This three-day course probably helped me prepare better for the exam than the official AAPC prep course. I've taken both; the prep course is good for the basics, but if you want to pass the exam and pass it quickly, then it would behoove you to attend Ms. Ortega's boot camp. It's well worth the price and the pain, I promise you. Listen to Ms. Ortega. Follow Ms. Ortega's instructions. Do as Ms. Ortega says and eat the exam for breakfast. It really is just that simple.

She is a great teacher and she is very passionate about Medical Coding. The material is easy to digest, but you must do your homework.
