I not only had the opportunity to meet Mrs. Ortega but was blessed to be able to sit and complete the 3 day CPC boot camp and it was one of the best decisions I could have made. I now know that I can do this. I thank Mrs. Ortega for being such an amazing person and teacher. She will educate you PROPERLY and with the information that she gives during this course, you will then be prepared and ready to take the exam and actually know what you are doing. Now I have to admit that I did not pass my exam on the 1st try and even thought about giving up. I had a lot going on personally, and this may have played a factor in my not passing...not sure. However, Ms. Ortega began to text and check on me and continued to encourage me. I scheduled my retake exam and went back to review my notes and had to forget about the initial fail. So the second go around, I passed!! I am now making plans to take a second class with Medical Coding Academy because I believe they can truly help me get to where I want to be in this field. Thank you Ms. Ortega for being who you are and caring!

I just finished this course in Minnesota and it was the most intense but best thing I've ever done for myself! Mrs. Ortega is both the sweetest and toughest teacher... read more you'll ever have. Tough with good reason: She just wants to see you succeed. With that being said, I will give you a few tips: MAKE SURE ALL OF THE PREWORK IS DONE. No questions about it; no ifs, ands, or buts!!! And don't start it the night before. I'd recommend starting at least a week or two before. Also, be prepared to dedicate the entire weekend (even after class hours) to completing homework. So, you may want to take the day after off as well. Mrs. Ortega truly has a wealth of knowledge about the industry and will do WHATEVER she can to see you succeed, so much so in a way I have never seen from any other teachers I've had. Definitely recommend!

First, let me say that I was very skeptical about doing it. I found the Academy on You Tube and most people would find it very unlikely that it could work. But my gut told me to go for it! I flew to Dallas from MN and took the 3 day CPC course. I'll admit I was very nervous on day one. What if I made the wrong decision? I am very happy to report that Mrs. Ortega is exactly as she appears online and her class is exactly as she describes it. Now, if you are looking for the easy way…this isn’t it. If you are looking for the smart way, then you’ve found it! The reason this works is because the curriculum is put together intelligently and effectively. It’s not magic, it’s strategy and very hard work. I was able to go from absolutely no knowledge of this industry to taking the CPC board exam and finishing 45 minutes early in only 3 days! It's not a vacation. Be prepared to be thinking hard and absorbing information all day every day. Then enjoy getting to use that education immediately at the exam! I feel such a sense of accomplishment and I can’t thank the staff at MCA enough. These people work so hard for us, it’s crazy! I’ve gone to community college before, and I never got from it what was provided in these 3 days. Mrs. Ortega teaches this course because it is her passion and she cares about helping people in the way she knows how, and you don’t find that very often. Plus it puts a fire in your belly to go out and get the job ASAP and put the new knowledge to work! Worth every penny! (and probably more to be honest) Thank you Mrs. Ortega!
