  • What can I say.... She is a lot. The class is a lot. It takes 100% commitment to get everything you need. You get only enough sleep to function on.... read more It’s worth every missed second of sleep, every dollar spent, and every thing of ribbon white out I throw across the room. Here is my story... Mrs Ortega is pretty amazing! I took her 3 day class on October 5-7 and took my test on October 13. In between that time hurricane Michael hit my home and I was out of power for 7 days and in the middle of those 7 days was my test. To say I was worried would be an understatement. Yes you come home with homework to keep you on track and keep it fresh on your mind but in this situation it was a struggle. I had no power, a roof covered in tarps, 2 stir crazy boys, trying to help the community and ones that were in worse shape then me, as well as studying and remembering everything Mrs Ortega taught me! If I would not have taken her class I know 100% I would not have even came close to passing. I messaged her with my struggles and told her I was worried. She believed in me more than I believed in myself. At that moment I know she gave me everything I needed and I couldn’t let her down. I didn’t reschedule my test because of the things happening out of my control. I put everything I had into God and Mrs Ortega and I sat down and took that test like I knew every answer! I passed with a 86!!!! She is truly God sent in this field and I will never ever ever dream of trying to further my career without seeking her advice and classes out first. Take heed of everything this amazing woman says. She knows her stuff. Do exactly like she says and everything she says and you too will pass!

  • In October, I attended MCA CPC 3-day Bootcamp in Atlanta taught by Mrs. Ortega. The decision to register was difficult due to finances; however, it was one of the... read more BEST decisions I’ve ever made. Mrs. Ortega’s teaching passion was evident from the beginning of the bootcamp until the very end. She was answering questions even as she was leaving to catch her flight. She is an AMAZING teacher. Not only did she explain coding techniques, but she also shared a wealth of knowledge on what to expect in the real world of coding. She encouraged, motivated and challenged us not to stop at a CPC credential, but to pursue additional credentialing (which I will ONLY do through MCA). I had taken two other coding classes prior to MCA and neither educated me the way Mrs. Ortega and the assigned required pre-work has. Yes, you will have to put in the work, but I’m pleased to report that I PASSED the exam on my second attempt after being only 4 points off on my first attempt. First, Praise be to God and second, Thank You Mrs. Ortega. I’m already preparing to register with MCA for my next certification. If you’re contemplating on whether you should register with MCA, I pray my review will assist you in that decision. Let 2020 be the beginning of something NEW. Again, my sincere thanks to Mrs. Ortega for giving us your “ALL.” May God continue to Bless You!!!!!

Mrs. Ortega is truly a wonderful blessing and caring teacher. You can really see that she cares about her students success. The 3 day course is a lot of work, but definitely worth the work and time!!! It is very important to complete all of the homework!!! You'd be hard-pressed... read more to find a more caring, supportive, and knowledgeable instructor! She has your back and really wants you to succeed! All that being said, you need to go in with the right attitude and do the work. Do all of the pre-work before attending the course. Do the homework every night when you're taking the course. Do the homework before taking the test. Get to class on time with a smile on your face and jump in with both feet. Just do it! Trust yourself, trust the process, and above all, trust your instructor. She knows what she's doing, folks!
