This certainly was an intense and... read more grueling three day course, Ms. Ortega however kept us engaged the entire time and made everything easy to understand. I came into this course not knowing anything about medical coding or CPC certification but left learning so much and passing my exam on the first try with a good grade. I went into the exam confident and sure of my answers and was able to answer most of the questions with ease. This of course, is thanks to passion and commitment Ms. Ortega dedicates to her students. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone. You will be amazed at much you will learn in the short three days.   • I took Ms. Ortega's 3-day Boot Camp mid-March in Dallas because I'd heard great things about it and of course, I was eager to pass my CPC exam on my... read more first try. Well, let me tell you... the course is a real Boot Camp!! It's very intense and you really have to work hard, sleep very little and pay attention to everything Ms. Ortega says... in the end, you'll feel tired, but it will all be worth it!! I took my test last Saturday and today I got the awesome news that I passed the test on my first try with a score of 87%!!! I'm sure that without Ms. Ortega's teachings, I would've gotten lost in all the confusing terminology, double and triple guessing myself after each answer and would've never finished the test!! We all know some cases can be extremely confusing, but with Ms. Ortega's strategies, you'll be able to abstract the most important information and answer fast and accurately in order to "keep it going" and finish the test with enough correct answers to pass on your first try!! I had no previous coding experience and I just did!! Thank you, Ms. Ortega!! I sure hope to come back for more of your teachings to obtain more certifications!

But anyway, she kept saying, pick this answer and KEEP IT MOVING. The whole time I was taking my test, I literally could hear her saying it every time I chose the right one. I even smiled and laughed to myself. Who does that during a test? Thank you Ms. Ortega and her holy crew for being patient with us, and sharing your gift, your passion, but most of all, your time. I felt like a rock star going into that test and with an hour to spare, I walked out feeling just the same, it’s all because of you. When I pass I know for a fact, I’ll be back on here posting that BIG PASSING SCORE! I’m gonna take a picture. Bless you!!

I came out of high school with... read more zero medical experience and was able to complete the course and take the test. Mrs. Ortega was a superb teacher!!! She kept the class moving along and took time to explain each of the different concepts clearly. She gave the students one-on-one time and answered our questions promptly. The assistants were also very helpful and helped me keep up on my projects. I loved the course and the way that Mrs. Ortega taught us all. I am looking forward to getting to obtain a medical coding outpatient job for while I am in college. This course was definitely worth the time and money necessary!! Without it, I don't know how else I would've been able to finish the test, let alone get a good score on it. Thank you so much, Medical Coding Academy!!!!!
