  • I just completed my 3day coding boot camp and I must say it was nothing less than amazing!! I must admit I was skeptical at first thinking there was no... read more way I could possibly learn all the info I needed in 3 days and be ready for my test and boy was I wrong!!! On day one Mrs Ortega made me a believer!! I am very confident that when I go to take my test on Saturday I will be more than ready and I WILL pass it on my first try after this 3 day weekend with Mrs Ortega!!! I would recommend this course to ANYONE whether experienced or not you won't regret taking this course!! The one thing I strongly recommend is COMPLETE ALL PREWORK!!! The prework is very very very important and I can't express enough how much it's going to help get through her course and help with testing!!! In Mrs Ortega's voice either love it or leave it and keep it moving!!!

Go in knowing that this class is hard work, really hard work, but it is also satisfying, especially when the things that confused you so much on day 1 start to make sense and by day 3 you're practically speaking another language. Don't be scared off by the fact that it is going to be a lot of work because for everything that you are doing, your instructor is doing more. When you go to break Mrs. Ortega stays behind to answer questions. She is determined to make sure that everyone in the class succeeds and she believes in you from day 1, even if you don't! One of the most important things that Mrs. Ortega will teach you is how to get out of your own way and believe in the excellent system that she teaches; and it is worth every penny, every hour you sit in the classroom, every minute of sleep you loose working on the pre-work and homework. I can tell you with absolute confidence and without reservation it is worth it. I took the exam yesterday and I cannot fully explain the sense of joy and relief you feel when you go to a code and there is a notation or highlight that helps guide you to the answer. You will be thanking the Lord that you found this class and Mrs. Ortega! Really there are only 2 reasons not to take this class: 1: You enjoy wasting time and money and 2: you don't really want to pass the exam. So unless you enjoy paying to sit in a room with strangers and be confused for 5 hours TAKE THIS CLASS!

  • Had a wonderful experience with medical coding academy. I can’t recommend it enough for anyone who is thinking about a career change. Mrs. Ortega breaks down everything. I came to... read more class Friday having never coded before in my life. Now I feel completely prepared to take the board exam. So if you decide to try this out (and if your in a position like me, you have no reason not to) don’t be scared to take a chance. You have a real opportunity to succeed in this career field. Full disclosure, if you don’t complete the pre work and homework, this board exam will be very hard. It’s literally a coding boot camp up here in Dallas. So be prepared to tear your hair out and and thank Mrs. Ortega for it in the end. A few headaches and short term pain will be worth it for a new career and a long term happiness

I learned SO MUCH and I didn’t even know what coding was at 8am on Friday. It’s Sunday at 5pm and I’m a confident “Go-to-coder” xoxo, Mrs. Ortega, it’s all about youuuuUuuuUuu 😂

I was in the CPC class this past... read more weekend in Dallas and I learned more in her class in the first day than I did in the two year program I just finished. If you choose the course make very certain you do all the necessary pre work and homework before class it is vital to your success in the class. It was long days but well worth it. I plan to go back for more classes. Thank you to Mrs. Ortega and the teachers assistants. I feel confident about taking my test on Saturday 15 Dec. Please pray for me!

  • Best Course I could have ever taken, I drove all the way from Denver Colorado to take 3 courses all at once so I could get that alphabet soup Ms.... read more Ortega talked about in her other YouTube Videos. If you have the money to take several courses all at once, I highly recommend doing so . I tested out all three of my exams pretty much within the same month and passed all three in the 1st try. Now I am CPC, COC, & CPMA board certified and it is all thanks to Ms. Ortega and her wonderful school, The Medical Coding Academy!

I was informed about this program in Jan of 2020 and it has been nothing short of a wonderful experience! From the staff, Mrs. Ortega and the knowledge that she provides for preparing you for your Coding Certification. I was given so much information that I needed from the beginning to the end, and although I have not taken my exam yet which is scheduled for both 6/18 & 6/19 due to covid-19 I feel more than ready to take the test!!! I will forever be Thankful for Mrs. Ortega & her wonderful staff for providing such a full proof program! I am looking forward to continuing my education with her & getting more certifications via her knowledge & programs! THANK YOU SO MUCH! if you are wondering if this is a good program..trust me it really is!!! but don't just take my word for it, judge for yourself and watch that you will feel the same way! I will come back to report how I did on my exam!!
