Well i'm here to say that its TRUE! she CAN teach you how to do it. And she is excellent at it. She really knows what she is doing and has mastered the skill in teaching everything you will need to know to pass the CPC (and then some). i am extremely greatful i found Ms. Ortega. I passed the CPC exam just 1 month after taking her class. I look forward to taking more classes for more credentials from her. Her style of teaching is like no other. She alerted the student when it was necessary to read the whole medical case documentation. With the Evaluation and Management section I was quite impressed on how she labeled the CPT manual in order to figure out the leveling with confidence.   • The online was AMAZING!! I loved it!! My friend and I (Lori) both signed up and took the program. We took our test this past Saturday. We both finished in... read more 5 hours!!! Everyone else wasn’t anywhere near done. Also, out of 14 people only 3 of us were taking it the first time. One thing we noticed was the level intensity we gave to the test. We were the only ones mad flipping to codes in our books!! The others were sitting there just moseying along and reading every word..omg! Ms Ortega but omg I PASSED!!!!! Not only did I pass but I got an 84%!!! I’m so happy!! Thank you so much for this program!!!! Also, Lori passed too!! I do believe you were put in my path by God. You were an answer to my prayer!!! I DO know the ONLY way to pass is to use your program!!! By the way, I saw my doctor recently and actually told him pick something and keep it moving and sang the tune “If I have that too.... fix that too”!(a plug to your excludes 2 note for ICD-10😂) Anyway, I just wanted to let you know where we are and how thankful I am for your hard work in bringing this program to us!!! Thank you doesn’t even come close to conveying how I feel!! I booked a cruise for 1 week after my test so I could either reboot to take the test again or celebrate. I’ll be celebrating in the Caribbean this Sunday!!😊 I’m not stopping with this certification. I’ll be deciding which CRC 1 day class I’m attending before the end of the year!!!! I know what I am doing after I PASS MY EXAM (Trust me because I trust her strategy) I will be going to Texas to learn a lot more from Ms. Ortega! I love the way she is passionate to teach us! Thank you Ms. Ortega from the bottom of my heart for what you have taught me! Can’t wait to text you telling you I passed my exam! God Bless you. The course: It is NOT easy at all. I must confess that it was a load of knowledge to download on my brain, but it is definitely DO-ABLE! I felt like crying by 5pm every day, but Ms. Ortega can’t want this more for me, than how I want it for my self so I sucked it up and follow instructions! The techniques and strategies are amazing and I feel really confident that I most definitely likely, am going to pass the test. I recommend coming with NO PLANS other than to learn A LOT of stuff. You will have no time for anything else. This course is amazing I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! Do yourself a favor and come take this class!

From the first minute, it was clear that Mrs. Ortega... read more was passionate about the industry and wasn't afraid to talk about the ins and outs, whether positive or negative, of the business. I watched every video on Medical Coding Academy's channel and became convinced that medical coding could be the new career I needed. Still, I was a little skeptical. How could I learn all the tools I needed to become a certified coder in three days when the other programs I researched required one to two years? The task seemed impossible until I read reviews from her former students. Like me, they had their doubts in the beginning, but after experiencing Mrs. Ortega’s unique method of teaching, I decided that if all these people could do the unthinkable, so could I. I registered for the three day course that took place in February and now, less than a month later, I’m CPC certified! I passed the exam on the very first try. Before the course, I had absolutely no knowledge of the medical field. Becoming certified took a lot of hard work on limited sleep, but it was all worth it. Mrs. Ortega is a miracle worker and I can’t wait to earn more certifications under her steadfast tutelage. If you are where I was, unsure and wondering if the impossible is possible, do yourself a favor and register for the course. You won’t regret it! Thank you Mrs. Ortega and the MCA team!
