The course offered a no non-sense approach of systematically approaching the CPC... read more exam. The presentation delivers information that allows you to feel more confident in taking the exam. The instructor also linked CPT, ICD-10CM, and HCPCS in a cohesive format to better prepare your approach in taking the exam since time is of the essence and there is a lot to read. In the past, I have had many questions about medical coding and each training day resolved many of my past questions. The organization cares about your test outcome and your personal, professional success. The three days are intense but worth your time. Not only do I recommend everyone to take this course but if you really want to be certified DO NOT THINK TWICE. You will be glad you did it. By the way, I did not get pay for my opinion, nor am I related to anyone in the organization. I am just a student who took the course and wish somebody would have told me about Medical Coding Academy sooner.

I did a lot of research about medical coding and training. I went into Medical coding academy not knowing how to code at all and walked away from this 3 day intensive training program confident and knowing how to code, and most importantly knowing the rules and guidelines to being a successful coder! I'm taking my AAPC certification exam November 2016, and I'm so ready to tackle that certification exam thanks to Delissa! Delissa has a passion for teaching and helping others and it shows! She is thorough, patient, and knows her stuff! She is simply amazing! I thank God that I found Medical coding academy and Delissa! This 3 day intensive training program is definitely intensive. I have never learned so much in a 3 day time frame in my life until this 3 day intensive, but it was so worth it. Also, with a pleasant, beautiful, extremely intelligent and awesome instructor like Delissa; the time seems to pass by so fast! I Love Medical coding academy and I love Delissa! I received my passing results the next day.Mrs. Ortega is gifted by God to instruct plus she gives you a wristband that has a scripture from the bible to motivate you on her "keep it moving" wristband that says. I can do all things in Christ that strengthens me.God bless you Mrs. Ortega. I passed my first time.

If you take this course, she will prepare you for the national test. All you have to do is put in the work! Once again, thank you Mrs. Ortega for all you've done! UPDATE!!!!!! UPDATE!!!!! UPDATE!!!!!! UPDATE!! 12/18/17 I found out last night I passed my CPC! If you listen to Mrs Ortega and do exactly what she says you will pass this exam. Everything she tells you is exactly how the test is gonna to be, she knows what she is talking. She has crafted this art. If I could give her 10 stars on this I would, you just have to trust and do exactly what she says!!

  • In March 2020, I was furloughed with pay from my job and I was questioning what to do next in response to my situation and career aspirations. I saw an... read more ad in my email address from Medical Coding Academy about the online course. I’ve seen the ad before throughout the years, but this time it looked something I really wanted to do. So I contacted MCA and got my information about the program. I purchased my books (CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM) through Elsevier and I never went through with purchasing the program through MCA. I had doubts about the program, and I didn’t go through with it. So I returned the books and went through another self-paced program. BIG MISTAKE!!! Their program was so long and so boring I wasn’t able to finish it. To top it all off, I couldn’t even afford it so now I’m currently paying off the loan. On November 2020, I got an ad stating that the 2020 online course was on sale for $899. I didn’t have anything to lose, so I purchased the course and it was the best thing I have ever done! The course is put together so well. Mrs. Ortega goes over everything for example what to highlight in the book, how to tab the books, what materials you need to study every day, and online help from teachers if you need it. If you buy this program, DO EXACTLY WHAT SHE SAYS!!! If you do, you will pass your exam. I started the program November 8 and finished December 13 and took my exam December 19 and I passed my CPC exam with a 90%! I would like to thank Mrs. Ortega and the MCA team for the incredible work she has put into this program and for helping me to pass my exam and to start my new career as a medical coder.
