Ive never seen anything like it. But the biggest that I've just completed the coding fundamentals module. I'm happy to report that I have already learned more in this one video from Mrs Ortega than I ever did when i was attended the 10 month vocational college..smh!!! cant believe I spent 20k on that school. If you're reading this you need to save yourselves the time and money and get the online from MCA. God I wish I would have found them first! Upward and onward..about to start the integumentary system! update!!! So I just had to jump on here and tell the Academy and anyone else who is reading this that I literally finished the online program about a week ago took my test this past Saturday and found out I passed on my 1st try tonight!! Can I just say I keep driving into my bed and screaming into my pillow that I passed over and over again!!!!! Needless to say I am beyond elevated. Listen guys all I can say is take this course and I mean dont even hesitate! You will never find any course better than the one from mca trust me I should know because I bought two others including aapc and they were worthless but Mrs Ortega teaches with her soul in this course and you feel it through the screen every minute ... Please do not try to go to college or by any other courses because you don't need anything but what Mrs Ortega has to teach you in this online course I'm trying my best here to keep you off on making terrible mistakes OK well I've said my piece I've gotta go best of luck to you all!

I was looking to further my education with AAPC or AHIMA and searching... read more for a school that would prepare me well for medical coding. I had no idea how well Mrs Ortega and Medical Coding Academy would prepare me. I watched all of her videos and read many student's testimonies. I could not wait to get started and I am even more grateful now that I took this class and even more motivated to continue my education. The way Mrs. Ortega has designed and organized this course is absolutely amazing. I have never had a teacher pour so much of themselves into a course with so much passion, motivation and true concern for her students as Mrs. Ortega. She has a tabbing system and homework to do before the course begins to get you prepared. The classes are three days from 8:00am to after 7:00pm with homework to do after classes totaling about 16 hours of work a day. You will learn much more in this period of time than you can even imagine. It is truly "short term pain for long term gain." I learned much more in three days than I did in many courses I've taken in college. She will give you so many tools, techniques and knowledge to pass the CPC exam (which is a real beast of an exam). If you have ever attempted to take the boards and failed, do not look any further, you will feel confident going in to your exam after taking this course, if you do all the work that Mrs. Ortega gives you and follow all of her instructions. Mrs. Ortega gives more of herself for her students than any teacher I've ever had. She works for you without ever leaving the classroom or taking any breaks. She even works to help her students during break times. During the three days of class, her top priority is each and every one of her students. I have had no experience in the coding field other than one previous course and I feel confident that I passed the CPC exam. There are people with experience who have failed the exam 10, 11, 12 times, and then passed on there first try after taking Mrs. Ortega's class. I am so grateful for this experience and for meeting such a wonderful teacher and person. If you are looking to pass your certification exam and open doors for yourself and those you care about, then don't hesitate to further your education through Medical Coding Academy

I'll update this review after I pass the exam and again when I get my job. So be on the lookout. I plann to give a full review on my whole experience. **UPDATE** 12/18/17 I PASSED MY EXAM! With a score of 90%! How awsome is that? I havr absolutely NO medical training or experience. I'm your average factory worker. If I can attend this course and pass with flying colors on the first try, anyone can. If you come with an open heart and mind you can take a major step in the direction of a new career. Not to mention that I've places a few applications as soon as I received my scores. And I've already have a call back. As soon as I land a job I'll update this review again. Stay tuned! **UPDATE** 1/16/18 I HAVE A JOB! I probably would jave started sooner but due to the holidays my hiring process was delayed. I had an interview on 12/14 I think. I went great. I said EVERYTHING Mrs. Ortega told us in class. If not for certain staff being out on long vacations I'm sertan I would have started sooner. But my 1st official dat of work was today. And let me tell you, I was better prepared that I knew. I couldn't have done this without Medicaid coding academy. Nope, it wouldn't have happened. With this program I was not only given the tools to pass my exam but land my first coding job! If your not convinced then your not ready for a career in this field. Plain and simple!

Admittedly, I had doubts about my... read more abilities to learn everything I needed to pass my board exam within only a 3 day weekend course, along with absolutely zero experience in medical coding and billing (not to mention never laying eyes on a single code prior to class). I am the type of person that likes to explore all my options and see everything out as they are. I am telling you now, DO NOT GO THE LONG WAY AROUND THE MOUNTAIN!!! Sign up for her course, it is only for your own good! Absolutely everything that is pertinent to passing the board exam is covered within your 3 days with Mrs. Ortega. Do not waste your ENERGY, MONEY, or TIME with any other program, whether it is a vocational school or online program. You will only be hurting yourself in the end. You will not gain the essential and practical knowledge needed to pass your exam, become certified, and land a job. Mrs. Ortega is absolutely your best coach, and breaks everything down until she makes you completely understand, before moving on. Both her and her staff have an incredible response time, and work around the clock to take care of their students. They absolutely have your best interest at heart while you are a part of their program. She is such a genuine and good-hearted person, and wants to make sure every single one of her students succeed.
