She will have... read more you on the edge of your seat the entire three days! Her skills and knowledge are out of the world, and I promise you will not regret taking her course. She breaks everything down in so many ways to help you understand, and she is not satisfied until you fully comprehend what she is trying to teach. You will leave the course ready and fully prepared to enter the medical coding world, and I can assure you, that you WILL pass the test if you just do the pre-work, homework and pay attention in class! There is a lot of ground to cover. At the end of it all, your ears may bleed, your eyeballs may fall out of your sockets, and your fingers will be crooked, but once it’s all over, your dreams will finally come to fruition! Don’t second guess yourself or have any doubts about taking this course. Bottom line, if you want to get ahead in life, you must take chances, right? Mrs. Ortega is one of the BEST instructors out there, and she is also one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She truly cares about every one of her students, and It is tough to find people like her! I learned so much from her in such a short period, and I am looking forward to being successful in this business!

  • No Medical Experience I recently attended MCA’s 3-day Pre-Exam Medical Coding workshop with my husband (5/17-5/19) .... and let me tell you, Mrs. Ortega is like NO OTHER!! She... read more takes her love of teaching very seriously and puts her ALL into her students. She applies the pressure to ensure you’re prepared for the exam and a successful coding career. She’s very thorough giving you the tools you need to pass the exam, getting the job, interviewing, and your new coding career. During the prep exam workshop she is not the angel you see on youtube. She is this little petite Drill Sergeant who will put the fire under your feet!! The class is very intense, very fast paced, and can be overwhelming if you don’t do ALL of your pre-work. However when the 3 days are over its a big relief because you will be able maneuver through your books, follow instructions, find and understand the correct answers. Her curriculum and teaching strategy makes it fun & easy to find the codes, without needing to MEMORIZE thousands of terminology or anatomy terms. Mrs Ortega was heaven sent! If you’re looking for a teacher to teach you the basics of coding and how to pass the CPC medical coding exam with ZERO coding experience... Then Look no further Mrs. Ortega and her team are IT!! Me & the hubby are scheduled to take the AAPC exam May 25th... I’ll be back to let y’all know we passed!!!! - **** UPDATE WE PASSED**** Thank you again Mrs. Ortega and Staff! May god continue to bless and protect you from the naysayers. Your energy and heart is so pure. Continue to stay on your path blessing the world with your knowledge. Miss Ortega and every single person on her staff for that matter are there to make sure NOBODY gets left behind.... read more YOU work hard no lie, hence my reference to the "Boot Camp" but they all work just as hard as you do & right along side of you. ALL questions are answered no matter how many times it takes to make sure we are all on the same wave length. Miss Ortega has a truly Blessed nature for teaching and and does a fabulous job! She is the most caring person I have ever taken a class from, she is not there for the dollar signs she is there for pleasure of helping you to succeed and improve your own self! I learned more in the 3 days I had with her than I did in any face to face course I had taken with Brick and Mortar charging me a through the teeth... I am awaiting my results for the exam I took now. Thank you, thank you, thank you.... will never truly show how much I appreciate what she and her team have done for me!! However; the fact that I will be back for another "Boot Camp" to get to the next Alphabet Credential, does say a lot... I could not and would not dare try it without the Medical Coding Academy Team!!!

I am happy to say that I passed ON MY FIRST TRY! And this is THANKS TO THE FANTASTIC 3-DAY GO TO CODER COURSE led by Mrs. Ortega. Mrs. Ortega loves teaching and she makes sure that none of her students are left behind. She will do everything to help her students, including responding to text messages late at night . The course is intense but it is worth it! The tips and tricks that Mrs. Ortega provides are KEY to passing the exam. I could not have done it without her.
