She alerted the student when it was necessary to read the whole medical case documentation. With the Evaluation and Management section I was quite impressed on how she labeled the CPT manual in order to figure out the leveling with confidence. I completed the Medical Coding Academy online course in 6 weeks and passed the CPC Board... read more Exam 5 days later! I have been out of the workforce for 13 years raising my children and I was very nervous about taking on a brand new career without any prior knowledge or experience, but Mrs. Ortega's stellar reputation and all of the 5 star reviews gave me the confidence to go for it. And I am so glad I did! The online course is amazing! It is organized and easy to follow with clear instructions every step of the way. I loved doing the online course because I could go through each section as many times as I needed to get a strong understanding of the material. The MCA team was a huge resource as they were there to answer any questions along the way. And even though Mrs. Ortega was not physically there with me, I could feel her genuine desire for me to succeed. Her innovative teaching and test taking strategies coupled with her clear and to the point teaching style are a recipe for success. "Do everything this woman says!"

We had no idea that this lady was about to blow our minds with everything she had to give and offer. When I say she was heaven-sent I'm not kidding she was a blessing to our minds and she taught us what we needed to learn in 3 days at the medical coding Academy to be the best coders that we can be. She has opened our minds to a lot of things and I’m very blessed to say that GOD BLESSED US!!!! People, this lady was GOD sent to all of us. When it comes to teaching she is like no other. She believes in what she does and her students.
