Mrs. Ortega's amazing online classes helped me pass my CPC exam on the very first try. Her method of giving you the information you need to pass your exam without all the unnecessary filler is essential to passing the exam. Her "love it or leave it method" really saved me time, so much that I finished 40 minutes early! Her color-coding method is A MUST to draw your attention to the info you need, eliminating precious time wasted on those exam questions. Do exact what she says! Memorize the codes, study the guidelines and learn that terminology!

I took the online CPC course and PASSED my test! I work full time so it did take me 4 months. The class was amazing and easy to follow. She gives you all the instruction you need to successfully pass the test. Honestly, she gives you more. I learned more from her then from college classes I took about coding. Hi everyone! I passed the COC exam! I am so grateful that I discovered Mrs. Ortega and MCA. This is my second certification under Mrs. Ortega's instruction this year. I took the MCA online courses for both the CPC and COC preparation. Honestly, she has been an unexpected blessing in my life this year. I have no doubt whatsoever that God intervened in my discovering her class. She is an amazing teacher. I am going to get my CRC and CPMA certifications next. I did the online courses through Medical Coding Academy and couldn’t be more pleased. This was a late in life (turning 60 this year) decision to take the course. I passed my CPC exam on the first attempt. I had previously started a different course and quickly lost interest and couldn’t get motivated to continue. Then I came across all the excellent reviews for MCA. I was skeptical at first but once I received all my books and materials, I realized this is the real deal. I actually wanted to turn on the videos and work in the case workbook daily. The staff is very responsive to any questions. Mrs. Ortega is such an excellent teacher. While taking my exam, I could hear her voice in my head, reminding me of all the guidelines and rules. If you’re on the fence about taking the course, just do it. You won’t be sorry.

she is a gift to the teaching of coding. I was amazed by her skill set. She breaks it down for you in ways you never thought was possible. I left other coding Facebook groups so I wouldn't get confused. I have looked into coding for a couple years now. I searched "coding bootcamp" and Ms. Ortega came up. I was skeptical at first, thinking there is no way. But a part of me was saying do it. Maybe it was my higher power telling me to finally jump and commit. I truly believed she would show me the way. She did! If you have question whether you should take this class or not, please I hope my review will make you jump! I went to the bootcamp in ATL. I won't lie I didn't sleep for 3 days. We were in class for 11 hours and had hours of homework, but it was beyond worth it. She keeps you awake and focused the entire time. Thank you, Ms. Ortega.

I wholeheartedly recommend Medical Coding Academy to anyone interested in pursuing a career in medical coding. I am someone who always researches products, services, schools and basically anything or anyone I will invest my time and money in. After I did my due diligence, I decided to enroll myself in Medical Coding Academy’s online course. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the results. Before the course, I had no medical coding experience. However, now I have so much knowledge and I was competently prepared to take the certification exam. It was a very tough exam, but I am glad to say that I passed it on my first try! It is evident that Mrs. Ortega loves her profession and that she is extremely knowledgeable. Most importantly, she is able to teach her students effectively and provide them with the tools they need for success. If all of that was not enough, it is clear that Mrs. Ortega has an emotional investment in her students and wants them to succeed. It is a rare thing to find in a school and an instructor. There are not enough positive words to say about my experience thus far with Medical Coding Academy! Mrs. Ortega, Ms. Belen, and all of the staff are very helpful, very responsive, and it is evident that they genuinely care about the success of each individual student who takes their medical coding courses.
